Hey how is this issue coming along?

I scanned across some of the posts here, did anyone bring up the simple fact of the oil level?

Previously noted was the oil return lines not being run correctly, they also need a bit of trimming.

I had this problem early in the installation (I was the first APS TT in Southern Cali) and it was resolved by adjusting the oil return line and reducing the oil level.

I actually have a "smoke problem" now that I am starting to troubleshoot.

You sound like you have a great build, hopefully you can find a simple cause to this problem, that is what I am hoping for myself.

Let us know how this is proressing, and good luck!

I am going with the GTM turbo spec cams upon the recommendation of my tuner. My advise would be to talk to sharif when you order and take his advise and make a decision based on that. Honestly, you would be fine with either JWT or GTM cams.

Also, the forge actuators are a must. With your power goals and exhaust setup, I would run the blue springs. you will probably see 10-12 psi on spring pressure and need to up the boost via a boost controller -> I would recommend the EVC VI, and run about 14-15 psi to get to around 500 or so.

Have you figured out your EMS yet? Fuel system? If not, discuss that with sharif as well and see what advice he can give you.

We also trimmed and adjusted the oil return line but not joy. Anyhow I am rebuilding motor with forged internals and will feedback as soon as its done.
My opinion is stock internals with APS TT is unreliable. Some people might have a different view... but thats my take on it. Good luck with trying to sought out your smoke issue... Please also feedback on progress.
Thanks... You can also speak to Sharif... maybe he can assist.

Cool

Just for the record my problem has changed to very rarely smoking and generally only when I really get on it.

This might be considered somewhat "normal" right?

Thanks,

joe

Hi,

I have had my 07 350z revup for 85000km with APS TT with not a single issue!!! Upgraded with light pully kit and 76mm dual zorst, and she makes 318wkw, stock block, in Pretoria, South Africa

I suspect tuning to be your problem

Regards

Im sure he either fixed his issues or got rid of the car, seeing as the last post was about 5 years ago.

You on the other hand need to get rid of the light pulley set, as that's going to ruin your bearings.
