Vortech Fuel problems....

thanks man!!

That is something i would also like to know about, we pulled that yellow piece out of G thizzles car and now are wondering if we should put that back and if we should have even drilled those two holes. Seems like we shouldn't have.

MIA he is running very rich and is thinking about plugging up the 2 holes that he drilled in the surge tank and putting the siphen jet back in. Would this help his rich condition any?

so in conclusion the yellow siphon piece and the holes in the surge tank have nothing to do with fuel pressure...
Like i said before, when i was running lean i burnt out the cat on the driverside and now with the test pipes it is blowing cold and backfiring... which means i am getting tooo much fuel on that one side... which is also causing my car to shake at low idle.... which is making run too rich... sooooo confused!!!!

drilling the yellow jet will only effect fuel pressure if its too small of a hole for the pump and isnt allowing the regulator to function properly by backing up the internal return flow.
as for putting holes in the side of the canister like turbonetics says, that is just destructive and serves no purpose other than reducing fuel control and increasingly likelyhood of pickup starvation under lower tank and higher g conditions. the only reason you would put those holes in the side is it you were not thinking straight and you completely removed the yellow jet which would kill the venturi effect that draws fuel into the can to begin with, therefore you would need the large holes so fuel has an acceptable path in... but hopefully you would have never removed or over drilled the yellow jet to begin with.
