Default Would you prefer RC or SARD fuel injector???

Dilemma, dilemma... If you tuning gods have a choice between the RC 750cc injector and the SARD 800cc injector, and their prices are similar, which one would you go for?

I'm going with rc750's cuz it's what my installer recommends, he's comfortable tuning with them, and has in his 600whp plus 350z. that's good enough for me. check with your tuner.

I heard rc's spray pattern was irregular at times, sard and hks are much more predictable. I had bad rc's - not fun.

My understanding is that RC doesn't manufacture anythnig but reconditions other injectors afterwhich they are labeled RC. THe RC injectors I've seen were either Bosch or Rochester. I suspect there are other injectors that are also just rebranded.

+1. RC's spray pattern at idle and low rpm sucks. At WOT it doesn't really matter, but if you want the best all around driveability go with a better injector.

Also I've heard on several ocassions of RC's getting stuck open. With that said the RC's will get the job done.

Well it depends on what you can use to tune, I have the normal high impedance RC 750 cc's and idle is not perfect, hard to get it consistent and it bugs me, it might be fine for some but I want this car to behave like it came from the factory, so after checking around and talking with HKS and input from Sharif I am going to try the low impedance RC 1000 cc injectors since the Fcon can handle the low impedance. I would have gone with HKS but I have sunk too much in this so far, even with dealer pricing. Waiting on new wheels already.

I went with the HKS cause the crappy idle I had with the RC's really bugged me too. I don't remember what I paid for my HKS injectors, but IIRC they weren't that much more expensive. What's the price difference between the two?

+1...if I had to do it over again, hks 1000's for me instead of trying to pinch a few dollars., esp w/ the fcon.

Basically, a Denso made injector is what you want (SARD, HKS, etc)

I would recommend SARD because they use Denso injectors (same as HKS) these injectors will have a better spray pattern and are more reliable. I am not a fan of RC injectors because of their inconsistency and spray patterns. They are less expensive be we all know in life there are always two ways to get things done...

I can't belive that the first 3 recommendation were all RC...

RC is crap. Just look at the technology behind it. Denso all the way (SARD in this case).
