how reliable will it be?

With the setup you have now and the boost you are running, you will see absolutely nothing moving to the utec. The unichip controls everything you need it to with your current setup. If you want more power, up the boost and retune with the unichip. there would be no reason to spend the extra money on the utec at this point. Down the road, that may be a different story, but in that case, I would save that money and put it towards an Fcon Vpro when the time comes

Damn 9 pounds and only 360? what kinda dyno was it?. i would get the utec though, you could get a map selector and all the other goodies and have a DD map and a Fast map, if u want more power

if it does, it isn't by much. From my research, the utec has very limited resolution. IMHO, the main reason to move to an Fcon over a Utec

The Unichip has a couple of more load columns and just a little over 1/2 of the rpm rows that the Utec has.

For the boost settings you are at I would stick with the unichip and just get it tuned, it sounds like it is stock tune from the dyno results or a function of your exhaust which the APS ST is very dependent on.

So get it tuned if you want more power and save the money for later on if you want to go Fcon, it has 3 times the amount of load columns which is what makes it so smooth in the low boost and driveability areas as opposed to the other EMS' currently out for the Z.

If you build your motor, spend the money on the Fcon. The utec isn't all that IMHO. From what I researched, the limited resolution limits it. Stick with the unichip until you decide specs on a build

yes, but at this time, the Fcon would be major overkill.

hold onto the unichip and just get it retuned. When you build the motor, tackle the new EMS then. Until then, if you have money burning a whole in your pocket, you are welcome to send it my way. I have a set of cams and other goodies I just recieved an invoice for
