Default New Book: Street TurbochargingHP1488

Amazon suggested this book for me, by Mark Warner, called
Street TurbochargingHP1488: Design, Fabrication, Installation, and Tuning of High-Performance Street Turbocharger Systems (Paperback)
Paperback: 208 pages
Publisher: HP Trade (June 6, 2006)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 1557884889
ISBN-13: 978-1557884886
Product Dimensions: 10.8 x 8.5 x 0.5 inches

They have the feature to look at some pages, I noted on one page they have a couple of pictures of the JWT TT kit for the Z. Has anyone read this book, and if so, is it worth having? Or just a rehash of old stuff? Thanks.

.5" thick? Must be a shorter book. Maybe I'll go find it at borders and read it there in one sitting. lol... hopefully it's not $45 like the other one everyone recommends.

Gurgen told me to try this book. I guess I'll go try it.

I bought it last summer when it came out, it's a pretty good basic overview. Doesn't got into a ton of detail but gave me a few ideas which I'm incorporating into my new setup (downpipe taper design and custom intake manifold sizing).

Maximum Boost by Corkey Bell is still the best turbocharging reference I have seen. Dated or not the formulas are fantastic.

+1
This and "How To Tune & Modify Engine Management Systems" by Jeff Hartman are the top 2 books Gurgen advised me to read for reference.

Absolutely. Both are excellent resources. I keep a copy of Maximum Boost handy for BSFC calculations.

It was a easy read and a lot of up to date info/pics... One of my good friends Geoff had a bunch of mentions and pictures of his products in the book...

It's 208 pages and they were offering a special price when you buy How To Tune & Modify Engine Management Systems with it.

I think it was around $15.

Guess I'll order it. Esp. if Gurgen recommended it. He is the mad scientist after all.

I already have Max Boost, great book although dated. The basic principles are the same (airflow, etc).
