My cd0009 tranny sometimes won't go to 4th, kind of scary specially when in the freeway. Already replaced fluids etc still the same.

I lost 5th and 6th on my CD009 and pulled it apart. Looks like the shift fork broke. Could deff be fixed. I just replaced it w Another low mileage 09 but I’ll rebuild this one eventually

Do you think the failure was heat related? I always wondered if cooling of the MT fluid would be a benefit...

i think heat was a factor but this trans did have a good bit of miles when I bought it and I have no clue how the 100k + miles we’re driven/taken care of on the trans. A shift fork can be replaced and this old *** trans still lasted 2 years of road racing and drag racing with prob 140k miles on it so not too bad.
