Based on my reading, I can speculate on various aspects: performance, fuel economy, driveability. I am no expert!

This will increase performance - high stall will lower 1/4 mile times dramatically. As long as the electronic lock up aspect of the TC continues to work, fuel economy shouldn't suffer while cruising. If the TC slips while cruising at 70 cause you're at 3000 rpm, well that would result in terrible fuel economy. There will be less chance of bogging but driveability (throttle response) I would think would suffer a bit. Apparently this is somewhat of a black art as I find conflicting data over the 'net and from shop to shop. Some articles I have read claim that an "upgrade" can not only raise stall for increased performance, but not degrade driveability by widening the range for the stall speed depending on a number of factors, including input torque. So when you go WOT, the stall speed will be 3200 but during normal cruising, it will still lock up around 2700. Stock is 2600-2900 with a torque multiplication of 2.0. Maximizing torque multiplication and broadening that range seems ideal...

Did that run ya almost $4000?

How much do you supposed JUST the VB will be, and/or TC? I may do them one at a time as I'm not looking to have a 600 whp monster...

Yeah I was thinking about just doing a TC with a few other mods just to have a decently quick DD.

Just curious about the review, if you have it installed and running, how do you like it?
