Only vette that deserves a second glance is the black Z06.
And I disagree with this remark:

While it is very difficult to beat a Z06 from a dig, it can be done. And you don't even really need the Extreme set-up either...the standard APS kit should be adequate on a built engine. I flew out to New Mexico to visit Todd Pickman, owner of BuiltZMotors. He took me for a ride in his 350z at the track and he also let me drive it. I was left speechless, his Z is FEROCIOUS!!!. I will post pics and vids soon of this event.

better traction - true. Destroy many TT Z's...umm no. APS Extreme + 3.8L stroker + GTM install/tune = kill, skin, and eat Z06's all day.

There are like 5 cars at that level of performance, so yes, a ZO6 would destroy many TT Z's.

Sam did 42 APS kits in the last year alone. Many, many, many, many members (as in more than 5) own Z's with TT's on built engines that can kill a stock Z06 (2006 model and above) on standard APS and Greddy kits.
Something tells me a kill story would not be enough for you. Therefore, I will prove it mathematically. In a thread I created a couple of weeks ago, I had discussed with Gurgen the necessary power goals a 350z would need to beat a ZO6. His response:
"Those things [Z06's] have 445 hp/torque at the wheels, roughly, and weigh 3150 lbs...so that means they have a power-to-weight ratio of 7.1 lbs/hp. Let's be conservative and assume, and this is not necessarily the case, that the Z06 is better geared for a longer (15+ second) race, requiring you to have about 10% more power than him to safely beat him (with our presumably poorer gear ratios -- so this is worst case scenario). So, with the Z's 3339 lbs weight and the desired power to weight ratio of 7.1-10%= 6.4lbs/hp , you will need 3339/6.4= 521hp at the wheels. As simple as that. Now, that assumes a stock Z06."
Plenty of members on this forum (again, as in more than 5) are safely making 521 whp. Perhaps you should have done your research before showing your ignorance.

DDS is right...
Z06 overall is more built for speed than the G35... definitely more track worthy out of the box. The G35/Z is truly not a slouch either though... just look at the numerous shoouts, especially the last G37 one...and trust me, an FI upgrade to a current VQ35DE would put one in that territory easily.
As far as power, it is truly about two things, power-to-weight ratio and gearing. I have yet to do some precise calculations on ideal gearing ratios for a high power setup...but the 3.358 AT ratio puts you pretty close. As far power-to-weight ratio calculation above that Alex quoted takes into account an additional 15% (if I remember correctly) power requirement to overcome the purportedly better gearing of the Z06...
So. it's not black magic, it's really just pretty straightforward calculation...
I would presonally not prefer the Z06... don't like the utter lack f refinement that you see in american cars..

Plenty of BUILT TT Z's (as in more than 5 cars) can make over 521 whp on high boost. 350-450 is without a forged engine. I made it perfectly clear the whole time that I was referring to a built VQ engine.
It would be foolish with the knowledge we have today to install a TT without any kind of head work and a forged shortblock (or longblock all together), especially considering the amount of vendors who offer this type of work.
BTW, I don't think the OP cares how many Z's a Z06 can beat up. The real question is can one design an FI 350z with the right aftermarket parts and a great tune to successfully eat up a Z06 (stock), the answer is an emphatic YES!!!

My next door neighbor has an Exige, which I've driven. It rides on rails and is a blast to drive. However, it is not comfortable, considering my 6'1" height.

You know, it's funny. I'm 6'2, 190lbs and I found it very comfortable.

Edit: Just went next door and double checked. He has an Elise, not Exige. Basically same interior though.
