But, thank you for the kind words
who cares about what GTM pricing to this thread??some is a lil high..yes in the end its all relatively fair"
I think the main problem here is... we all know even the best make mistakes... its normal.... i think what matters the most is how a shop stands behind their work... GTM makes great work...i am sure they have made mistakes and they stood behind their work... period..
THis is the problem here.. i think BuiltZmotors attitude as described by Don, which i had already known locally, is pathetic... 500$ worth of parts, there is nothing after an intensive tear down indicating any of the speculations BuiltZmotors said what the issues were. This part alone tell you a lot of the quality "THE ENGINE IS SEVERLY CONTAMINATED WITH METAL DEBREE IN THE OIL PAN DUE TO CONTAMINATION DURING THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS OR FROM THE OLD ENGINE CORE NOT BEING CLEANED." talk about cutting corners

. BuiltZmotors needs to step up and do the right thing here... which unfortanly so far ... answer has been poor and i am sure Don is tired of "dancing" around with PMs and phonecalls to BZM to sort things out

dam joe, Im sorry to hear about your issues. You have put TONS of money into your car and i hope everything works out. BuiltZmotors FTL i hope everyone reads this thread to see what there customer service is about. O and 600 for a leakdown test is BS. Just putting that out there.

Regardless neither of those procedures are intense sense you have already removed the upper plenum so access is not a issue. Regardless i still think you guys do good work and sometimes it is worth paying more than neccessary just for peace of mind in knowing that everything is done correctly. One thing that could play a major role in this is that the labor rates are higher in Cali than Louisiana(one of the cheaper places to live in the U.S.)

No panties here
Just wanted to clarify the charges, I don't believe they are unreasonable if you do, well then we will just have to agree to disagree.
Anyway I didn't mean my post to come off as aggressive, just informative. It is always difficult to tell someones tone over the internet, hence I try to use as many smilies as possible. -George
