Ok. I believe that was the unit that Athen and I immediately had replaced with the UTEC BCS.

I'm not aware of that part.. not sure if that is more consistent than using the BCS.

Really? I was under the impression that Julian wasn't happy with the manual boost controller that came with the STS kits, so he took them out in favor of the UTEC BCS. I know he definitely did that on my original setup, so perhaps I am only mistaken about how he setup your car. My apologies if I was wrong.

Well I did tell Julian that I want the same setup as yours (having low and high boost map) so I guess he just went out and did it.

Does anyone else get this? Is there any remedy?

I just changed my Wastegate Spring to a .5bar spring and I'm holding boost until Redline. My spool also improved in all gears Now I'm a little confuse, after removing my old spring, I saw that it was a .4bar spring (Small Red). When I was boosting off the wastegate with the old spring I'm only boosting around 4.5-5psi. That was the reason I thought I was using a .3bar spring, good thing I didn't order the .4bar spring else I'll have the same chit. Now when I swapped the .5bar spring I was only boosting around 6psi off the wastegate. I'm not sure why both spring wasn't giving me the PSI that it was supposed to give me

Well after playing around with with Utec, my boost is now solid all the way to Redline and spool improved in all gears.. I'm just happy to finally see 8psi at 6000rpm I'm so happy that I might even sell the FMIC I have...lol

Here's the Pix of my old spring.

Thats very strange. Where are you T ing off for a pressure source for the wastegate port?

Where ever it is, it is consistant at least.

Since the addiction of the Water/Meth I think I'm going to get one of those Vacuum port since it is a little crowded in my engine bay with all the T'ing. Like you said at least it is consistent... lol

I know what you mean. I have the same problem. The EVC requires a much greater number of Ts than the utec BCS.

I just want to clear the air since a lot of people have messaged me about my signature. in December I ordered a STS Turbo direct from STS in Orem, UT for my 2006, what they sent me was the side pipe kit for the 2003-2005 non revup motor.

The first page of the manul states "MINOR FABRICATION MAY BE INVOLVED FOR THIS INSTALL". I had a master fabricator from a major aircraft manufacturer here to chief the install. After we completed the internals, ran all of the wiring we started to mock up the piping and it didn't fit. It didn't come CLOSE to fitting right.

The turbo assembly was 4 inches farther than it should have been, the fresh air intake did not have enough room to be mounted, the piping did not match any of the mounting locations, the instructions indicated I had to cut the factory frame (3 inches away from all of the under carriage lines) to allow the front piping to be ducted but the "tab" is twice as thick as the 03-05 and needed more than a cutting wheel or air hammer, the power steering cooler relocation was impossible without fabricating new steel brackets, and there were at least 7 other things we completed to try to make it work including "MINOR FABRICATION" to the PCV valve and hoses.

When the piping did not mock up and the exhaust pipes were too short, we realized that STS sent me the wrong kit.

I was offered a full refund, reimbursement for an uninstall from a local shop, and the right kit by who we all know as "the source at STS". Turns out they didn't make a kit for the 2006 when I was told that. When I called back after the shop completed the uninstall, STS went back on their word and would not pay a dime to the shop and charged me shipping back to them and a 20% restocking fee.

They offered to pay to have the right kit installed but I was so put off with the lying that I didn't want their poor quality and name on my $30k car.

The kit was uninstalled by an authorized STS dealer and shipped back directly from the shop by UPS. STS claimed there was damage to parts and wanted to charge me for it instead of filing a claim with UPS (which they probably did anyway).

All in all, I paid $1,759 out of pocket because of their mistake and their unwillingness to honor their word. STS has an ad on their website I was unaware of claiming a major discount for 2006 revup 350Zs to allow them to do research and development for a kit. I do not appreciate being handed a kit they knew did not work and then charging me for the hassle of the work, return, and restocking.
