Default Is RB26DET fuel injector compatible with VQ fuel rail?

Buddy of mine with GTR 34 is selling his HKS 1000cc fuel injectors..
So, I'm wondering if I can use them for my Z with CJM fuel return system.

Thanks guys.

depends on which ones they are, i believe the RB26 has side feeds stock and you have to upgrade to top feeds...

My friend has the HKS 1000cc low impedence injectors. So, I guess that's a top feed injector..

i dont think that HKS makes any other 1000cc injectors other than the ones a few of us here are using.

you will need a tad bit more spacer, they are a hair taller than a RC. Keep a watchful eye when bolting on the plenum, its a very tight fit, but mine fit with no mods to any part of the intake manifold.

Thanks Phunk!

I'm assuming you are talking about the lower intake manifold spacer, correct?

actually talking about the fuel rail spacers. The RC injectors come with a .455" IIRC spacer... its been a long time but I think I put a thin washer under them when I changed to the 1000's a few years ago.

The stock RB26 uses a smaller (11mm style) o-ring for the fuel rail. A stock 350z fuel rail uses the larger (14mm style). So if HKS injectors in question fit a stock RB26 fuel rail and the CJM fuel rail fits stock 350z injectors they will not fit without some modification. The adapting them to the manifold is another issue.

Thanks,

We are talking about that here:
