Default False High Oil Pressure

On my way to work this morning as I got on the freeway I noticed that my oil PRESSURE was at 120 psi. I pulled over to the side, at ilde it was at 60. I shut the engine off and the gage needle indicated 0, I then turned ignition on without starting and it was showing 60 psi.

Do I have a bad sensor or is there a way to re-calibrate the gage? I tried a search but I'm doing this on my cellphone and won't have internet access until I get back home this evening. Anybody have an answer?
Thanks...

It's probably a bad gauge...seen that many times before. Replacing the sensor will not fix the problem....its the gauge.

Mine is about 30 at idle and around 60 at 70 mph flat road, this is when fully warmed up, full fresh oil Mobil 1 0W40.

I hope it's just the sending unit, the dealer charged me $99.00 for a new one, I wonder if I got one for a VQ Altima or truck would it work, I know it would be way cheaper.

Smile

It was the sending unit, a little bit of a pain to change due to cooling water for turbo's.
