I think Alberto is talking about the transmission and Sharif is talking about the diff... unless he used the same oil for the diff and transmission... or, unless eagletanggreen has CF transmission gears...
BTW, what's this "two step" thing you guys are talking about? Is it some sort of launch control?

yes... launch control, 2 step rev limiter, one for launching and then the regular rev limiter. basically you put your foot to the floor and the car will bounce against a programmed rev limiter... say 4500 if you want to launch at that, then once you go the rev limiter goes back up to 8000ish rpm... basically.

What makes it hard on the turbos?
you pretty much dump a bunch of fuel in so the fuel goes through the engine and ignites after the engine to get the turbos hot and build boost without moving....
same idea as an anti lag just sitting still...
but you heat up the turbos A LOT during this process, works better on turbos close to the engine, not like the Turbonetics or any other turbo kits that arent close to the engine....

hey coach, pretty much one day, we will setup your two step to activate RIGHT before your wheels start spinning at the line, then you just sit building probably close to 10 psi at the line before you launch!!!
get to the track man, show us all what a mid 11 second 5AT Z looks like...

With the way the boost hits, a 3.3FD would spool wayyy to slow-I saw a noticable difference in boost response with my swap-it was basically no lag before, now there is some. Of course it would be in "powerband" longer but the negatives IMO outweigh the benefit.

From talking to way2good (the other 850bb owner) I think the lag is going to be their weight in gold, at the track (road course).
At the drag strip the 850 have more than impressed me 11.6 with a 1.88 60ft and a 3500lb car with me in it, and only 480hp. Its pretty cool to shift into 5th and chill out for a second or two before you cross the traps
, as in shifting to 5th right at the traps
.

.You're right, I hate shifting to 5th in the 1/4mi but I guess when you're trapping over 120 it doesn't matter because it'll happen anyway.

Thanks! Your car looks to be a little beast also
Stay tune next week when we put the JWT 700BB VS JWT 850BB on the track (Barber motorsport park) for two days and do a side by side comparison.
