The december issue of import tuner states that the pro kit is going to be under 5000. It also says that there test car using the pro kit with all hks goodies (v pro, and the new Valcon V-cam) is making 478bhp.

So I just received my latest issue of Sport Compact. It has a one page article on the new HKS GT Supercharger System. Interesting thing though is that they say the claimed crank HP is only 322 bhp and TQ is only 317 ft-lb with a retail price of $6,495.

But on the HKS USA sight they claim the 350Z gained 50 bhp and 60 ft-lb for total of 337 hp and 330 ft-lb at the crank.

That will be the best $6,495 I never spent!!!

Yeah i read the same thing on import tuner. But that was on the G35, with the kit stariaght out of the box. Tuned properly you will get the 50bhp claimed. Personally, i'm looking forward more to the pro kit. As stated above, it's going for less than 5000 and there test car is making 478 bhp at the moment.

See i wanna see this one, i read the same thing no price tag though an it says off road or racing use only. Will that still put it in the same boat as the vortech being you can rock it an still pass inspection an emissions?

The HKS Street Kit is CARB pending so when it passes it will be 50 state smog legal. But you're in PA so not sure what the laws are over there in the event that it doesn't get CARB approved.

They say road/racing use to cover there ***. Anyhring that is not CARB approved will say the same thing. The street kit is aiming for CARB approval, but i'm sure there would be some way of passing smog with the pro kit.

Na, me neither. The only ne thing on HKS is the official launch of the TT setup kit, which they now advertise on their website. All i know is that it should be coming out very soon.

Does 1st quarter 2008 mean January-March 2008, or does HKS adopt the Cosworth calendar?

I've given up on this. I may go JWT, if someone can reassure me that my car won't die. It's already consuming too much oil as it is. Or, I may just divorce Infiniti this year, and get remarried to an e92 M3. I need more power.

If you buy an M3, you will be dissapointed. I've got a friend that just bought one and says they are overhyped. Nice cars, yes, but overhyped. Just wait it out another month, they'll be coming soon.

Overhyped how? I know it's not the best car out, but I think it depends on what you're looking for in the first place. It's not a ferrari. It's a great car though. Maybe he should have test driven it more. The consensus is that it's a world class handling car, great (not spectacular) power. If it costs 70k when it hits the US then I can see it being overrated.

He did test drive it. And he thought it was great. But after he bought it, he drove the Audi RS4 and now he wishes he bought that instead. I didn't say it's not a good car, i think it's a great car, but i would personally never buy one. I don't know about the US, but here those cars are worth over 100 grand. So yes, to me its overhyped. Its a fast car, but not that fast. And definitely not worth that amount of money. Especially if you consider you can buy a Z and slap a built motor and TT for less than half of that, and eat it for breakfast all day long.

But anyway, we're not here to discuss buyong a car, we're here to find out more info on this kit.
I think i may have something in a bit.
