big things coming from HKS Soon
Ok, so HKS already has there warehouse full of the GT Supercharger kits, and they have been given CARB aproval. There just waiting to receive the actual CARB number so that they can send it out on their kits i guess. So the launch should be iminent. They had a minor issue with a fuel line not reaching a level 2 certificate of somesort, and only reached a level one, so whilst they are waiting for the CARB number they are sorting that out too.
Now, power! Yes the kit is only coming with an extra 50 horsepower out of the box, but i have been assured that that is because it has an extremely conservative tune, tuned on crappy fuel, to make sure there are no nasty bangs. HKS was playing it really safe. But i have been assured that any pro dealer will be able to get much more out of the kit with a good tune on proper fuel. Very promising.
HKS USA is currently running there shop Z with the base kit, an Fcon V-pro, and a smaller pulley, and there running around 450 whp. Obviously with an exhaust.
The pro kit won't be coming out any time soon, and it seems that it will be a totally different blower. It will run slightly higher boost, but the actual blower itself is going to be larger and so will be moving more air. HKS Japan is running durability tests on it now to make sure it holds up to the test of time. That's all i know so far, but i will keep digging.

^good to know. I had a feeling the pro kit was to have a bigger blower and would be awhile before going on sale. 400+ on the base kit with fcon pro and pulley is good news. Decisions...
From what i know, that is a one off pulley that HKS USA made for testing purposes, but HKS Japan is hessitant to launch it because it hasn't been tested for durability, and they don't know how the blower will hold out at those higher rpms. So i don't think they will offer that pulley as an option.

As with purchasing through grey market channels for any products that are not authroized HKS USA dealers, you would have to send it back through the dealer it was purchased from and if they are authoried HKS dealers overseas, would be sent back to HKS Japan for warranty inspections. If you guys want to see some footage of the kit and the HKS Z, check out youtube, and search Project 350Z - GT channel. There's an 8 part series on a SEMA car build up with the GT Supercharger, aswell as some footage of the HKS cars.
