1) Purchased from a authorized Vendor. YES
2) Month of purchase: August 07
3) SEPT 1st 07
4) 500miles
5) I think my issues are not as big as the other guys. I have had an Oil leak from the return line from the SC, Normal Belt slip noise (fixed), NOW MAIN ISSUE: Fuel Leak from the AUX fuel pump line. CLick here for more info

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/303520-vortech-guys-help-with-pix.html

2 questions for you guys, Where is your external fuel pump that came with the kit located?(same placement as mine?)

Second, How many of you guys got the Unichip with the kit instead of the SS box?
Thanks

HEGONE-Vortech has switched to the Unichip from the SS Box. So all new Vortech full kits will now come with the Unichip.

Ya I figured, SUX. I kinda want the SS box. My Unichip is really weird. It has no map sensor so it keeps spraying fuel into my engine for no reason at random times. I also have to take it to an authorized Unichip dealer to tune it. sorry end rant.

If that is true...and kits for the older cars get the unichip . Its going to hurt Vortech sales . There really isnt that many Unichip tuners . Every one will be stuck with the out of box tune...and we know its lower whp numbers to be safe . SUCKS !

So I talked to Vortech and they had nothing to say about all of our superchargers that went out in the past couple of weeks. They just said I will receive a call in a couple of days after they inspect it . I'm losing hope here....

Yeah, when I got my Vortech, Sam @ GTM had to call them because they didn't ship the SS box. That's when they told him that they were switching to the Unichip. That's when I changed my mind and just went with the tuner kit instead of the full kit and just had Sam put together the best combo for my G35.

purchased August 07 and it came with SS box.

My kit was missing one of the pipes and Vortech haven't replied yet!! This surely shows what kind of action I shall expect if things go wrong in future!

For sure, everytime I call they act like they are trying to get me off the phone and don't care. Basically they are saying "get in line with all the other broken supercharger owners" which is bs since mine went out after being on my car for 300 miles . They are suppose to be inspecting it today, so I will call them to see what the verdict is. If they try blaming the damage on me, I am going to have to take this situation to a whole new level....

This is the main reason why I am glad I did things the way that I did through GTM. That way I don't have to worry about dealing with Vortech directly. And with GTM being a vendor, I'm sure they have a bit more pull than the average Joe that calls up. Sucks that the Vortech reps have to act like douche bags though.

Good news! I just got off the phone with Vortech and they will be fixing my blower under warranty (duh). Anyways, they said that it will be repaired and shipped out by this coming up Tuesday. So I should have boost again by the end of next week! Finally, we are getting somewhere . Just be persistent gentlemen, your time of glory will be soon as well .

That's more like it. I know when I talked to Sam @ GTM he was telling me that they would probably have it back by next week sometime. And my SC was sent in about the time that G35asian sent his in. If I can have my G back by next weekend, I will be very happy.

i wish they wouldd pay for the shipping to them, it cost me 50 bucks to get it there. Had to insure it, wouldnt want a $2300 blower to go missing
