Default Vortech Guys Help! *With PIX*

Hey guys, as some of you may know, I got my Vortech SC installed about 3 weeks back. I posted a week back with an issue I was having with my belt screeching. I got that fixed with a new Gates belt and have no problem until this morning after work when I turned on my car.

The new problem is that I HAVE A HORRIBLE FUEL LEAK!! Its coming from the aux Fuel pump that I got with the vortech Kit. Here are some pictures I took.

I haven't driven it hard at all. I turned it on after work and when I left the parking lot I could smell gas. I then pulled over and took a look underneath and saw FUEL SPILLING OUT LIKE CRAZY. It seemed like it was spurting out from the in and out line of the fuel pump! I had a half a tank of fuel and after driving about .5 miles I was all out of fuel!!! My wideband A/F gauge said I was running insanely rich (7.4 A/F) when I first smelled it, even at idle it wouldn't change from 7.4-7.6 A/F... Then when I got into the gas station it was just sitting totally lean (20.9 A/F) and it would change! I have no idea how this would happen. I then pulled into a gasstation and had to call a flatbed to get my car back home! It was a very bad day for me today and I have no answer to any of my questions. Could this be the fuel pump, fuel lines??? Any info is helpful! Thanks

I would check the lines for cuts/holes and maybe tighten down the clamps.

Check the connections going in and out of the FMU I had one pop off and fuel spewed everywhere (passenger side fuel rail). I know the aux pump is on the driver side, but I guess it could be running down outside of the lines.

I had to zip tie my FMU connections together so they wouldn't disconnect.

BTW maybe you should post more pics hehe j/k

Make sure the clamps on both ends are tight. And look for cuts in the hoses.

More than likely. It's usually the simplest fixes.

The fuel line was pinched up against a bolt. Rerouted the line with a new hose and everything is perfect. Thanks felloz!
