Default New Jersey Rock Star 726hp????

So today I was in Vons, and was looking through the magaizines and I saw the new turbo magazine and looked through the first few pages and saw this G35 claiming 726hp... Has anyone else seen it? It has a forged performance sticker, straight line sticker, robispec sticker on the trunk lid, and some civic chrome looking wheels.

It is hard for me to believe the restrictive piping of a Power Enterprise kit could make near that kind of power even with the upgraded Full Race Gt28r turbos.

I saw it too. I wasn't impressed personally. I thought the car was ugly and the wheels looked really bad on it. I don't know who's car it is, but I think he personally spent too much money on all that stuff.

also, how the 726? I didn't see a dyno sheet in there. did seem a little high to me too.

Hp. I wonder how they came up with that number, did they actually have the motor out of that car and on an engine dyno? Not likely. Otherwise they are just guessing.

I doubt Philthy would have BS'd the numbers. Maybe the mag did their own conversion from WHP to BHP?

726hp crank or wheel running 12's makes me want to cry. You could go 1/2 throttle until 4th, nail it and still run 11's...

Yeah but what if you ran it in Reverse?

Nope. There are like 5 other car in the magazine and they have the actual whp numbers and his car only shows hp. I would love some insight in how they got that number.

Expensive does not equal nice but oh well. Bigger. Yes. To each their own.

The magazines do not need confirmed whp number for them to put it in their magazine....For example the SFR red G35 that claimed 645 or some bs like that on stock motor was put all over the magaizine and forums. But only made 4 something when he confessed it at a Stillen day.

i saw this car race Julian's car at Raceway Park this summer and its pretty fast and if Phil had a set of DR on he would have done even better, by the way Phil would not lie about what HP his car makes, so maybe its a typo or the magazine is just guessing?

. Just got this mag too.
I saw this thread and just had to see this car, the car of the guy who constantly calls out people despite putting his own foot in his mouth time and time again.

Givven his holier than though attitude, I was not too impressed at all by the car, but the amount of money he seemed to sink into that thing is rediculous. Looks like those "buddy" shops of his sure saw him comming and smelt his money.
This 726hp car would translate down to 600ish whp. But I would like to see a dyno chart on that, or better yet, I would love to see this car on a road race track with cars like it.

Yes sir. I would very much like to see this car on the track. Has racing seats, 3 way adjustable kw suspension and some nt-01s. Philthy whenever you are ready to chime in........

Everyone is untitled to their subjective opinions about the way my car looks, I for one LOVE the way my car looks!

Any Civic supporting CCW wheels would surely look HOT!

I'm still in Asia and would love if someone would scan and post the feature...

Don't know why Turbo went with a HP instead or WHP number, I've had over 12 cars featured in magazines over the years and the only thing you can do is provide the info and wait to read what they write - I'm sure Turbo did a great job with the feature...

Here's my 'break in' tune dyno chart at 16psi. This was the 4th run the car ever made on the dyno and although it made more power it was kick back down - the initial break in tune was very conservative for obvious reasons, if you want to call ~580whp & 600whp conservative...

Oh, BTW VRT/RA Crew that's what a torque curve on a TT VQ motor should look like...

I ran a 12.3 at 120MHP ( you do the trap speed to HP calculation ) spinning down the track on street tires, boost was ~13 psi, aprx 460-480whp, was having a bit of a boost control issue, all better now..

The one thing that I'm not is a liar! I'm also not too proud or scared to track my car (win or lose) - it'll continue to see more 1/4 mile and roadcourses...

Well, that is all great and good for you Philthy. Congrats on the coverage. Still do not know why YOU continue to bring my company (RA) into your discussion (or hatred) for VRT??? We have had no wrong doings and NOTHING to do with that company for quite some time now. Please get over it already.

I find it odd that you are sporting a DynaPack dyno sheet after all the ranting you did about it not being admisable, and insisting on a DynoJet chart from us.

Scott has always been cool in my book. i have spoken to him on numerous occasions and i think he has made it clear that he isnt associated with those other guys. you dont really see him putting out big dyno graphs on any dynopacks any longer. i see him working really hard to earn a rock solid reputation...

i thought this is what a VQ dyno graph looked like though..??
