There has been discussion on these gauges before. Mark from ravspec was pushing these gauges as a cheaper alternative to Defi's when I inquired about gauges.

I have a full set of defis and while the stri gauges look good, the Defi's have a lot of nice features including playback, differential pressure reading, and wiring the Defi's is a breeze.

these look good in the picture at least. They look almost identical to the defi gauges. Do these boost gauges read 1psi or so high like the defi's? Thats the only thing I don't like about mine

my defi boost gauge is exactly in line with my HKS EVC boost controller. I have heard some people complain about the defi's reading high though

My only gripe about my Defi D boost gauge is that there are only 3 line increments between 0,5,10,15, etc etc. Why can't it be 4 so I don't have to guess??

Yes, this has been discussed before. I've seen these in person and they are bada$$. I'm glad to see another option out of Japan rather then defi. I'm waiting for them to be out on the market a bit longer before I consider making a switch to these.

yep these gauges are simply fantastic.

We've offered them for about 6 months now and they fit, and work very nicely

One of my favorite things is that they offer a boost gauge that goes to 46 psi !! So no longer are you limited to 30 psi like on the Defi

Of course, not quite as feature rich as the Defi, since they don't use a control unit and dont record, but they do have a peak hold and warning level which is nice.

And, get this....a matching wideband is coming soon!! No pricing yet, but I would imagine it will be just as affordable as the rest of their gauges

More QUALITY choices is always a good thing. Defi's are great units, and the ease of wiring with the control unit makes it a breeze. But for some, they are too expensive and as such, the STRI are a nice affordable option.

scan down, we have all the STRI's listed for those who want info/pricing (and yes, packages are available upon request)

maybe a little off topic but since gtm and Z1 are in here maybe you can answer my question. When I ride around with my windows down and the wind blowing everything is nice and quite in the car. However, once i roll the windows up and am riding down a bumpy road the gauges or the pillar or something has a very slight rattling noise to it and I can stop it by just putting my hand/fingers with a litttle bit off pressure on the pillar itself. Any ideas what this might be or how i can fix it?

way to kill the thread....

no a pillar is perfect - and by putting pressure on the pillar you are answering your own question...time to go over your install and look into possibly some double sided tape, foam, etc.

Guys if you have Defi, that's great. But I see no reason why someone would not consider a high quality alternative when it costs less...

These gauges do look great. All I wanted to point out is that the defi's are more than just the look. they offer things that these gauges don't. Personally, after having spent the money on the defi's and using the features that they offer along with ease of install, I think it is worth the premium in price.

well the whole reason i posted these was for the ppl who cant afford the Defis at the moment but still need something that performs very well and looks way better than every other gauge besides the defi.

i mean only an idiot would get rid of his Defi gauges for something cheaper...i mean common you already paid for them.

im just helping the one who are in my current situation of need but cant afford the best of the best.....
