Default how much boost?

How much boost do you think a stock block with eagle rods and weisco pistons can handle? I'm just trying to get an idea as to whether i should go with a supercharger or a turbo. I also planned on adding an oil pan spacer.

yeah 600-700 psi is what i meant, you will need stock injectors with a 600 to 1 ratio FMU. that will work..

LOL. In all seriousness, 15-18 psi is the generally accepted limit for 93 octane fuel on the stock block, generating power in the hp range audible provided in his first response. Eagle H-beam rod hp rating for Nissan applications attached.

That's what Eagle claims - I snipped that out of their web page. For domestics that envelope may have been tested. I have not heard of an aftermarket rod failure yet for the VQ35, so...

Stop giving foolish information. This thread should be locked. 15-18psi on 93 octane? With what turbo? Where are you getting that from? So with a 60-1 or a T78 I will be able to run 15-18psi no problem on 93. Just stop that!

With Greddy 18G turbos. Two of them:

Not sure why you are so agitated.

Yes, you obviously can run 15-18 psi boost at 93 octane on a built short block and there are so many examples of this. Jeez.

bacalhau16 relax....

I agree with rcdash. 15-18 psi is a good reference. When questions like this are asked, there is an assumption that we are generalizing. Thus we are referring to common kits such as the greddy, APS, jwt, etc. And as stated, 15-18 psi covers those kits. Personally I would stick to 15-16 psi on pump and if you plan on going any further, I would recommend 100+ octane
