i've been searching around for awhile and there is always something bad about someone.

You know what the biggest headache is? It's trying to trust someone to do the work. everyone has a shop and is trying to sell you something so everyone kinda seems a little shady, from oh dont use those parts that the other shop said, use ours they are better or I wouldnt trust them to do your build but if thats what you want to do. I just dont get why shops bash eachother. usually if shop kinda slanders another i dont really feel like having them do my work either, just because i mention another shop doesnt mean i want you to start bad mouthing them, you know. i was just simply quoting a difference in what was said between the 2 places, that doesnt mean the shop i'm talking to needs to start saying bad things about the other shop.

Interesting post..Something is up here guys.

No, but its a bit odd how you mention VRT and compare their prices to GTM thats all..Good luck with whomever you choose.Their are all top notch shops. Do a search for some threads on all shops, the search function can be your friend.

You know me dude, Jordan with the black G.

Mine was done at Relentless and I'll be going to them for a build within a year probably. They do great work on built motors and their mechanic has tons of experience with the VQ. You will get a great price. PM me if you'd like their contact information. Relentless also did the work on Scott Basinelli(sp?)'s Z, iStan's Z, Nforce1's Z, and Ty's white G35. All have some sort of forced induction.

Don't think like that. Support after the sale means everything. $500 is a drop in the bucket compared to a blown motor or endless headaches. You already have some good leads in this thread.

no i didnt mean for it to sound like that. i havent even thought of contacting VRT. the prices are from the low to the high from around 4 different shops. Ones i would consider to be on par with any of the major shops.

i know i do, but i just started this thread really to do my own research. since the different shops use different products and they all have something to say about the products they dont use i was just trying to research what parts may have failed so i maybe know to stay away from those parts since there are a few choices

considering you said "each shop says something different", also try searching here, as people who have had successful full-builds, share some common items. Although you sound like you know this already, when you find out new information through the forums, and a shop echoes the same info, thats where your trust should go.
