My horsepower saga

1. The BAS works well (does what it advertises it does) - maintaining voltage across the rev range.
2. It's a great add on for all UTEC users.
3. Turning up the voltage may not help on other EMS systems, but it DOES NOT hurt power either (dyno confirmed) with up to 16V tested. Depending on the wiring in your particular car, there is a chance that you could affect VTC intake solenoids if voltage is increased to maximum on the BAS (with no rewiring).

ill add more info for ppl using Utec with the same issue.
dont use HKS twin power DLI II cuz it will not work.
the HKS is not the same as the BAS, i have installd the HKS DLI II and we still have the same issue.
after that i checkd about how the BAS work and its a Different story.
the HKS DLI cannot making more spark like th BAS can do.

i can clear why dose the BAS works better for the Utec problems.
the BAS Fuetures are
1- Kenne Bell "Long Spark" Technology increases AND regulates voltage. NOT a CD with an inherently "short spark."
(the HKS uses CDI)
2- Will fire spark plugs with up to .100" gap and 30 psi boost. 2500 microseconds vs. 200 for CD's.
installation for the kennebell BAS is not the same as the HKS DLI 2 its Different.
the HKS will work with the factory wiring, so if u have a bad grounding or a bad ignition signle from the utec or ECU, the HKS will not work as it should be. (this is what i think) maybe im wrong.
the kenne bell is Easy to install. Just connect to primary coil wire. so it dont care what is going on with ur system.
the HKS DLI II is not taking 12V from the batteri its taking the volt from the stock wires that gose in to the coils.
again this is what i think

After changing out few things it's a bit better but my problem still there...never did see this.
Comp OK, no leaks, new gaskets and new gapped plugs.
It's exactly the same i am experiencing.
7psi 420whp peak power at red line, 12psi torque rises but power only a bit and drops off from 5500rpm with bc2 cams....had few runs were it made 500+ on 12.5psi but now 460 @5700rpm.
This utec+maps sensor, tuner pro, map selector and now looking at BAS ain't so cheap anymore thinking it's the worst decision i have made to date.
