remove rev limiter, control fuel voltage
Hi,
Please forgive me if this has been addressed before, if so please send me the thread cause I have sifted through a load of irrelevant stuff to get to the point where I am posting this...
I have upgraded my fuel system, two walbro pumps with a custom fuel return system using 700cc injectors, problem is at low rpm's its so rich .... how does one get into the stock ecu to turn down the acceptible voltage, as soon as we try trick it into less than 0.8 it starts doing its own thing...???
the rev limiter on the stock ecu needs to be changed as well, i have installed upgraded springs and when it hits 6400 rpm or so it turns the dash into a xmas tree...
i have the following:
aps twin turbo kit
huge downpipes
unichip ---
if anyone knows anything that can assist it would be great... i need to know how to get into this stock ecu and change the settings... loads of guys talk about moving the rpm limiter... how... with a fcon or haltech the issues remain the same...
any help will be appreciated...
thanx in advance

howzit,
my fuel system has been upgraded and I have the revup oil pump...
guys, the unichip is cool and am going to be the highest registered dyno on this forum using it... after the run in, am basically asking if anyone has any idea what can be used to get into the stock ecu...
DO U KNOW... the haltech is going to have the same issue with the rev limiter and thats a kick *** EMS....
ideas and help appreciated...

hi,
my mates got the haltec and apparently the only way round that one is to increase the fuel when it cuts off, its a patch fix and am hoping i can do the same.... no direct interface into that one...
do u know if the uprev product might help in this kinda situation?

Oh I just read you are on your stock ECU.... Are you able to control the Unichip?
Buy an Aftermarket ECU and it should solve you're issues

hi,
I have a fuel regulator... the unichip handles the upgraded 700cc injectors. The issue comes when one turns the voltage down on the unichip, as soon as one goes past .8 the stock ecu comes in and says no buddy, its to low and changes it right... am looking at uprev for a solution on this right now... power performance have got 350z's with 880 whp running on the stock ecu which they tune... imagine if the market went that route in the first place...
a way round the rev limiter is also to install a cable throttle, this is only applicable if the EMS that is in the car runs the injectors seperately from the stock ecu...
pray for binary to b good to me

you cannot alter the rev limiter on a stock ecu with your current setup without sending it out for a reflash
your best bet, far and away, is fitting a proper engine management system that has the features you need, and has the resolution to make the most of a forced induction setup. A unichip is not that piece
