Si TRIM VORTECH.

What hp levels are you hoping for after the tune?

I was thinking of doing the Si-trim but with my setup i would prolly have to reduce the rpm limiter between 6600-6800 or less depending on what psi we would see during tuning, and also eliminate overspining the blower.
But i would wait till i need new bearings and seals and have it done all at once.

edit-- added 14psi @6400 rpm graph. 200 rpms lower than Jet Mech
we just need to compare exhaust mods since he's at higher altitude. Gear differences (3rd vs 4th seem to make some PSI differences)
i just toook my Si out for its maiden spin. seeing 13.1 psi @ 5900 rpms (by that point i was FAAAR exceeding the posed speed limit). no feeling of belt slip and the logs look like they are steadily rising. if the boost kept rising in the same slope to redline, it would be ~17psi.
definitely need Jeremy to look at some of my logs as it seems fairly lean for the boost levels and i'm seeing 1 and 2 counts of knock (athough not in this run).

What pulley setup are you running? That is alot of boost!!! My goal with the si trim would be increased mids while maintaining only 11-12 psi of boost at redline? I would be willing to drop my rev limiter to 6600 -6800 if needed. I hear alot of people say that 400 hp is a safe power level so I would want to stay close to that power. I'm heading to performance factory around March 6th and need to make a final decision.

the people who say 400whp is a safe number are the turbo guys who make around 400 tq and 400whp. A vortech that makes 400whp will make around 320 tq. IMO it's the tq number that's the important number to watch, not the hp
IMO the vortech is a different animal altogether and you could make 340 tq and 430whp safely...maybe even a little more

on the intake side i am running the mrev-2 lower with the 5/16 spacer. exhaust side is stillen headers, 2.5" aps test pipes, 2.5" aps dual exhaust, altitude in vegas is 2100 feet above sea level. im on a rev-up engine as well. boost appears to be pretty consistant with my findings. and for the altitude i am at the 200rpm difference seems about right depending on your exhaust setup. i am running 100 octane for insurance against detonation. i will post my dyno results once i get the z back from GTM. hopefully the engine will stay together! if not then i have the excuse i needed to start my stout engine build..........

i havent seen any knock on real pulls, only on like hit the gas and back off stuff.
i'm running non-revup, no spacer, smaller Injen dual SES exhaust and smaller Helix test pipe (smaller diameter). So that there would make me see higher psi. Do those test APS pipe mount up to stock manifolds?
Either way, cant wait for dyno #'s
hopefully set some top 5 #'s

one thing to also consider with boost numbers on a rev-up versus a non rev-up engine is that the rev-up has cam phasing on the intake and exhaust side as well as the cams are alittle more aggresive on the revup from the factory ( i was told they are almost equal to the nismo cams). i think the revup engine naturally flows better out of the box.

ya i just need to find out when JT gets back from Australia. He was pretty frustrated with my car !st time around with the boost leak and whatnot. I think this time he will be happy to have his name associated with the tune, and maybe i can get a PF.com sticker for my side window
is that your experience that you start to see belt slip at 14+ psi?
i'd love to get jeremy to look at my logs before i tried a redline 3rd gear pull, so i'm going to wait til then to see if i stilpull more boost or start to slip.
