exactly!!!!!!!!! 100 octane=insurance. the z is not my DD and i only drive it maybe i once or twice a week. i am hitting 14lbs of boost a 6600 rpm on the stock block. my rev limiter hits at 7100. i have not even pushed it that high yet without the tune.i can speculate it may hit 16 lbs at 7100 rpm. also the 100 octane helps with detonation in the summer months out here in vegas, we will see temps of 125 plus out here in the desert at times. considering i have some pretty good breathing mod's besides cam's i would speculate that some people with the Si-trim may see even higher boost numbers. from the test run's i have been making i am not experianceing any belt slip yet. maybe it could be attributed to the better designe of the rev-up vortech kit belt routing. who know's maybe after the tune i may have the record for the highest HP rev-up vortech setup on the stock block.it looks like sentry65 has the none rev-up record so far on the stock block.

i was referencing that when i installed my older CAI setup that when i drove the z after the reinstallation i lost 2lbs of boost at 6600 rpm. all run's previously were made without the air cleaner installed. i am glad i did that so i could get a solid base line of the boost potential of the Si-trim. i appears that it will need a larger aircleaner due to the s/c needing more air due to the Si-trim upgrade.

we are all excited to see how ti does on the dyno. MY car limits at 6600 rpms being a non-revup. YOu still have another 500 rpms. 16 psi should be attainable. mad powa!

I see that you have a UTEC right? Just bump up the rev limit to 7200 and you'll be seeing close to 11 psi at redline. At least that is what I'm doing

i am seeing 11psi at 6k rpms with my 2.87. Plus, 6400 rpms is already overspinning the normal SQ trim blower. The SI will allow me to rev to redline and not overspin the blower. hopefully with the boost leak taken care of and the SI trim blower i'll see a nice improvement over my previous dyno.

Default SI trim

Any updates??? What PSI do you think the si trim would produce on the stock pulley setup for the the revup engine?? I'm am having Performance Factory install a vortech in March and was thinking about running this setup.

the z is going to GTM on 4th of this comming month for tuning and some custom exhaust work. i will keep you guys posted!!!!!!!!! i could only speculate what the psi level would be on a stock revup pulley set up.it appears alot of people here are having the upgraded Si-trim done as well, so we can wait and see.

Default SI Trim

I would guest ~11-13 psi with the stock pullies. How much power would this produce? Also, how much louder is the SI trim compared to the stock impeller? Maybe the guys from performance factory could give their 2 cents.

Default SI Trim

I have the 2.87 with the other stock pulleys but I think a 3.12 will bring it closer to 11 or 12 psi. I don't want alot much topend boost, I was hoping for more MID around 3500-4000rpms.

ya let us know. I am not pushing ,mine til i get my fuel pressure gauge in. over 12psi might really pushing it with stock internals.

But of course I want you to drop the hammer and get some nice WOT psi numbers

remember! a 2.87 serp pulley on a stock revup vortech kit is equal to a 3.12 serp pulley on a non revup vortech kit. that is why i re-cogged my revup kit to a non revup cog configuration.

I have a non rev up motor (stock block) dynoed last week on a dyno jet, it made 436.68whp & 369.51wtq it was pretty cold out that day which prolly accounted the 14psi we saw @ 7100.

from having my Si-trim installed and driving it around easy till i get it tuned at GTM on the 4th of feb i will tell you it is quite a bit louder than the SC-trim. i can hear the supercharger well over my exhaust. it sound like a old V-1 vortech s/c head unit. i know because i had one on my old 93 LX mustang back in the day.

I haven't heard the V-1 is it more of a grinding sound or a loud whine?
What hp levels are you hoping for after the tune?
