Stillen Supercharger???
I deploy to Afganistan in January, When i return i am definately gonna buy the Stillen Stage 3 Supercharger for my 06(rev-up) Z. Has anyone had any experience with this kit at all??? what else would you recommend? Eventually I'm gonna get a clutch and flywheel upgrade and some cams. Thanks in advance for your info...

The only reason i ever bought this kit was back in mid 2003 it was the only (safe) kit out.The ati blew motors and so did the greddy twins......all because of the lack of timing control but with todays tuners and all the other kits out there i would (cause of the price) go looking elsewhere.

i heard that the cams dont do much if you got the SC...thanks for the info...I just need osmething that is low maintenance and something that i can install myself.
the STS, TN, and vortech are all going to be low maintenance and give you more power than the stillen
of those 3, I'd recomend the STS or vortech over the TN kit, but probably vote for the STS overall for you

the ATI is pretty good but will have a little more maintenance just because you gotta change the oil two times vs once.
Honestly IMO if you want a centrifugal, I'd go vortech and skip the ATI. Not that the ATI isn't a good kit, just that there's more reasons to go with the vortech over the ATI. Not to mention it costs less than the ATI and is more "complete"
the STS will give you probably a better bang for your buck compared to most kits - at least if you plan to stay around 400whp or under. Most people think it'll run out of breath after that

the rev-up is more suited for the vortech compared to the stillen.
they're completely opposite though.
the stillen gives you everything it has at extreme low rpms and is good up to around 5000 rpms then its effectiveness starts tapering off.

what can you do to the Vortech to make it a beast???? are there like different belts u can get or something to turn up the boost??? Piggy back ECU??? boost controller???
Why do people ask the same stupid **** OVER and OVER and OVER..there is sticky in the FI forum concerning the Vortech questions your asking. Also, everyone knows the Stillen sucks. /thread
I went with Stillen also when it first came out for the same reason as superchargedg. Once installed, I caught the "horsepower bug" & installed a Zex kit (55 shot) for more hp.
After a while, I built the motor & went with the APS TT kit.
I'll never look back on that mistake. Lesson learned.
You can get near 400whp with the Stillen, it's just really hard.

That is a built motor(10.5:1),100 octane,cams,nitrous(35 shot) & 10lb pulley(only made 8lbs that day because he put headers on the day before).
IMHO, buy a TT or ST. It will leave you with plenty of options. Even re-sale value! Try selling a used Stillen SC........... PITA
