On a serious note, Rome on his 440 DD tune was walking Cobras left and right that made just over 500hp on a dyno jet and weighed the same as the Z when you factored in Rome's big a$$.
It's all guesswork. If you want to compare DD to DJ, go dyno the cars on the same dyno, or at least the same type. Oh and I think you mean "centrifugal".

Even better - go run some 1/4mi passes...

Thats why I said run Chris's car on a Dyno Dynamics to compare...Since you wanted Romey to compare on a Dyno Jet. It amazes me how the DJ guys always want the DD guys to run on a DJ, but never want to run on a DD..Why is that?

But then what would the excuse be?Would it be the best trap speed?Which would tell who got the most HP to weight ratio..
Or would it be the fastest ET?Which would tell who is the better driver..
Or both perhaps?

Probably becuase Dynojet is considered the industry standard, is the most widely used dyno, and does not include any sort of custom corrections beyond SAE, STD, etc.

And no, running on the track tells how fast the CAR and DRIVER are, which is ultimately what matters when estimating which would actually win in a race.

It is the industry standard, however my point is: How come a DJ guy that makes a 500hp pull on a DJ, will never get on an uncorrected DD? Yet the same DJ guy will dispute the DD guy's corrected HP on a DD till he is blue in the face, despite the DD corection being dead on in 90% of the cases.

Same drivers, same car in a perfect world...But like I said, Trap speed tells HP, this is a well know proven fact..ET will tell drivers abilities, given the HP he has.

Enough with the chit chat, I can't wait for ZdayZ.

I'll say this about dynos and trap speed. On a perfect run, my trap speeds always agree with a DynoJet, not a Mustang, not a DynoDynamics, not a Clayton, not a superflow..(I have been on all of them). Everyone likes to claim the dynojet reads high...yet it's only people who have other dyno's, or have been on other dyno's that claim that. In the end, use the dyno for what it is... a tool to determine where the tune needs to be, and what parts work, more is more on every manufacturers dyno...and less is less. The dyno is a gage...that's it. When you see some one post a dynojet graph, and your local dyno uses a different brand, take that in to consideration if the setup is the same as yours, and you dyno different numbers. It's a tool....not gospel. Who's to say which one is high or low... my personal experience shows the dynojet being the most repeatable, and the closest to the trap speed at the track. A dynojet requires virtually no setp, as to where the other dynos require a very involved setup... which adds alot of room for mistakes. I was on a mustang dyno once with a stock 99 civic si...it made 90fwhp....put the same car on a dynojet, and it made 140fwhp. Turns out the counterweights and strain gage weren't setup correctly on the mustang. After they spent a couple of days resetting everything... they were within 2hp....good enough. Point is, you can't screw with a dynojet, the others you can.

+1

and just to add...I think in the case for julian he has taken the necesary steps to make sure his DD numbers read well and he has also taken his time comparing to DJ numberas and finding a a correction that is realistic and has be open on the forums about it. Props tot dat
