Who said it was a dyno sheet thread ?....To my understanding it was a spool comparo...thought I'd add a friendly addition to this posting, but instead I'm chosing to take a path of reservation only because of rudeness...

Then later on if you desire more HP we can upgrade the turbos for you!!!

there's going to be some discrepancy between dyno sheets (load based dyno or dynapak and what gear were the dynos in) and I'm not really sure that's the way to go about comparing turbo spool up. I'd think a load based dyno would slow the engine down some giving the turbo more chance to spool at an earlier rpm

you might have a larger turbo start a dyno run at 1500 rpms and reach full boost by 2800 or you might have a small turbo and start the dyno run at 2500 rpms and have full boost at 3000 rpms even though it does spool quicker

Actually he just posted the list backwards, but you got in a bit late to see that

not in a greddy though

dont get me wrong, greddy is my FAVorite kit and makes more power all day than greddy , just spool up time is a little more laggy on the greddy
Typo I assume..
At any rate your information s incorrect none the less. In "THEORY" the APS BB turbos should spool up faster than the Greddy 18g's.However our practical experience over the past several years has proven to be inconclusive. The Greddy's and APS kits have proven to have nearly identical spool up characteristics on our dyno, time and time again.
This being said, the APS's turbos MAY spool up 100RPMS faster in some occasions in lower boost situations, and are very efficient. However, the Greddy's larger turbine housing and capabilities to flow more air, make them come in much harder when they do spool up. A simple overlay of an APS VS Greddy with identical mods and compression, would show the facts and put this debate to bed.
When i go to the shop tommorow, Illl pull up and old dyno of mine and overlay it with ROMEY's to show the different characteristics of both turbos.

We were not even put on the list! Damn!

http://www.speedforceracing.com/prod...35turbokit.php

Ours will spool about the same as the SP kit depending on which turbos we use.

Yeah I was about to say "where is the SFR kit?". Can you even buy the SP kit yet?

I guess this automatic G sucks too This was with standard bearing turbos. The BB turbos spool-up about 400 rpms sooner.I looked at another chart and the onset of boost is at 2500 rpms.1.8psi by 2800 rpms.So the big turbos do take a bit to spool but you still make some boost alot lower then a centrifugal supercharger

I have some more of these graphs with readouts at various boost pressures, with and without BB turbos,hi and low compression,etc..........I need to find them though and I will see if I can do some sort of overlay but I might need someones help because I am not that good at those damn overlays

Julian, hit F2 on your Dyno Dynamics computer and see what happens.......LOL.And all this time you didnt even know you had this resourceful tool.Well if I remember correctly, I think F2 is the hot key.I use this all the time to get exact rpms,boost,air/fuel mixtures so I know where to make my changes.

You sure can. I've sold a few already and I'm sure some numbers will be out sooner or later as the cars are still under the knife.
