full boost @ 4500 if im reading correctly is late almost 1,000 rpms later than the greddy.

Bigger power means more lag. Just how its goes. You cant have your cake and eat it too. Just get some big nasty turbos for top end and a small shot to help spool em up.

yea my setup does spool slower than the greddy, but it also enable me to get more traction at lower speeds . Plus my setup pulls all the way to redline whereas the greddy starts to drop off in the higher rpm's.

yea but in a race that 300 rpms at the end isnt the same as that 1000 rpms in the beginning. NO?

edit: im not trying to put your kit down at all im just talking with you because i dont know many people with your kit.

i know man, that is what these forums are for. Discussions like this lead to good information for others

yea i guess it is all on how you look at it. I like the way my setup pulls, but i honestly do wish that it did have that initial surge like the greddy does. In the end though there has to be a trade off between gaining power in the lower part of the rpm band vs. the upper part.

In the end though i am happy with the kit, it makes for a very smooth pull and makes the car more predictable imo.

Just remembrt, those turbos and that kit is designed for big boost, not 7psi. Your not even warming those puppies up at 7psi...

^ Also there non ball bearing so there gonna take longer to spool, but 4500 for 7.5 psi... thats late man. Greddy, like romey stated are 1000 rpms earlier and can flow 700whp... thats big power and less price.

no i used the non ball bearing units. Sometime in the future i will put them to the test when i decide to build the motor.

Also I thought the greddy 18g turbo's maxed out @ around 600whp on a DD.

No.... Jkenific, Yancy, and others are using standard greddy 18g turbos and made 640+ whp at 18psi I believe.

is there some sort of standard you guys are all comparing the turbos with? like do all these comparisons start at 2000 rpms in 5th gear on a dyno-dynamics dyno? By having some of these dynos start at 2500 rpms and others at 2000 rpms and others at 3000 rpms, they're not all getting the same amount of time to spool

that SFR turbo would reach full boost earlier than 4500 rpms if the run started at 2000 rpms or less
