Procharger puts out 400 rwhp with headers and exhaust!
It has dual Intercoolersbut I don't know about how reliable they are.
I do want to have to rebuild in a year
I want a kit that will last 5 year no problems
I called and talked to a lady which she said this kit will start shipping around the 20th and will increase our horespower to around 50-55% which she said is around (144HP) on top of our 287 stock . This would take us from 287 peak now at the motor to 430-440 hp peak at the motor. I would think this supercharger kit which comes with everything you need and your own custom high flow exhaust, lets just say daul 2.5 all the way back will probally put us at (450HP) peak at the motor.

2003 350Z
Description HP Gain Intercooler
7 psi with C-2 50-55% 2 Core
Tuner Kit with C-2 Call Call
I do not think that will we have any problems with our motor since the kit is running a low-mid boost level of 7psi. I herd the prototype supercharger they were trying out on the JIC car is boosting around 10psi with no problems what so ever. In one of the previous magazines? out they had a 350Z TUBRO putting out over 500 hp with no problems at all

It's funny you say that because I've seen other people say that they ARE reliable. I'm not trying to say one way or the other personally.
So..... who's going to be first?
I want one, but I'm waiting until they get some street time first.

Procharger has a bad wrap, b/c most of their kits aren't reliable, read the Review's or something like that on the website.

If you look at some of the ford lightnings and other supertrucks sold right off the lot with superchargers on them with dealer warranties. Superchargers are not bad as long as you don't over pressurize the engine (i.e. too much boost or psi)
Well, the bad comments don't seem to have anything to do with supercharger quality. I read them a while ago and most of them seemed to be installation problems.
This setup is a low boost, intercooled system. Now if you raised the boost or pulled the intercooler off, then all bets are off. Also keep in mind that the procharger was tested with a stock car. Starting adding headers, exhaust, intake plenums, Nitrous or raise the boost and you're going to be raising your HP to levels higher than have been tested on the Z.
I have no qualms about installing the SC on my mostly stock car, I just don't want to be the first one to turn up the boost. The Z has proven by Greddy, ATI and Stillen that it can handle upwards of 400HP, but who knows if the drivetrain can handle 600HP, I certainly don't want to be the one who finds out although it would be fun.

A - Monkey Man, are you still planning to install this on a Z and give us a review? I was waiting on the Greddy kit, but if the quality and price are right on the Procharger, I could swing that way. I'm definitely not in a hurry... just wondering if you'll have something for commentary for us before the end of August when I'll be ready to buy.
B - Is someone really negotiating a group buy? What time frame? How much of a discount?
C - For that matter, how much is the kit? Someone said the price is on their website, but I just looked and could not find it.
For those who haven't seen it, picture of the install below... looks pretty clean.

oh... one more thing I just noticed for those looking at Procharger's track record...
The 350Z kits uses a C2 supercharger. None of their other kits have this. A lot of P600 and SC1s, but I did not see a single other kit with the C2. That probably will make it harder to predict quality issues that don't stem from the install...

... You are not the first to try it out, if you were, you would be the prototype car and your not, so that answers your post.
