I have seen some guys try and just split the throttle signal to a pair of TBs... does that really work?
Going this route has some advantages but to keep you from pulling all your hair out in the process, I would opt for a standalone ECU that can control dual throttle bodies. Not sure if the FCON can. Haltech and ProEFI units both don't control drive by wire as "standard". If you can get the aftermarket ECU to control the drive-by-wire (including dual throttle bodies), then I think this project would be quite feasible.

My understanding with the HR 2nd throttle body is that it only opens mid rpms and higher (not open all the time). I believe I read this is done to preserve low throttle driveability but permit increased flow when needed. So it's not as simple as just having each throttle body mimick the other. I could be remembering incorrectly (or be misinformed).

OK que the scene from The Fast and the Furious...

^^^^bump...I wondered this as well. I got ahold of a rev up engine, i was just going build the short block and switch everything over but if I just build the whole engine and get a standalone then could I just swap the engine over?

See Hal's post above.

It looks like the answer is yes, with a Haltech.

I believe the answer is yes, with the Haltech only. The other standalones do not offer cam timing contol, and the stock ecu is not going to control exhaust cams. You would need to source the 4 connectors required (ex cam control x2, ex cam position x2) and run those wires back to the Haltech Platinum. I can provide the pins and pinout for the Haltech side.

^^^Ahh ok. So in a nutshell this will work but I need the 4 connectors to be put on the stock ecu and then then get the pins for the Haltech. Then plug everything up correct?

Close, yes. The 4 connectors will go to the motor (2 to cam pos sensors, 2 to cam control), and then wires from them will run straight to the Haltech.
