Wastegates on JWT Twins (530BB)
Ok, I did not do the install of my JWT kit, but I have done most of the rest of the work on my G. However, since I did not do that specific install, I am not very familiar with the actual turbos themselves. So, I know the the 530BB's(also know as GT25's, I think) have internal wastegates.
I am in the process of installing a boost solenoid, larger injectors (440's), and a Haltech ECU. I know where the vacuum tubes on the boost solenoid go, thanks to Hal from IP's help, but where are the wastegate connections on the 530BB's, and where is the best place to get to them from to attach the vacuum lines (below the engine, above the engine, etc...)
Thanks
Dave

T the two wastegate lines before the intercooler, then run the third line on the T to the in side of the boost solenoid.Run the return side of the boost solenoid to the intercooler. You should cap one side of the plastic T sticking out of the intercooler and connect the line to the other side of the T.
Hope this helps

No, I know how to run the vacuum lines, and what line goes where; what I am trying to figure out is where the wastegate ports on the actual turbos themselves are, and since I did not install my JWT kit, I am not familiar with the turbos, and how the easiest way to get to them is, considering that the turbos are kind of down deep in the engine bay, but also hard to get to from the bottom of the engine.

The turbos have internal wastegates, basically a flap that is controlled by an externally mounted actuator. The actuators are where the vacuum lines need to be ran to - probably easiest accessed from under the vehicle
No, it wasn't. I did look through the manual, and I am still somewhat confused, AND was looking for some tips. Such as "probably easiest accessed from under the vehicle", which was actually helpful. Thanks

The wastegates get their boost signal from the tee fitting screwed into the tee pipe between the intercoolers. The intercooler tee is shown in Step 24 of the installation manual. From the boost signal tee, individual boost signal lines run to each wastegate actuator (refer to Step 11 of the installation manual). The best access to these lines is from below.
Good luck!
