1000whp 350z built by MRC
Hey guys
i know very well about all 3 1000+ HP Zs you made mention of... heck we've even featured them in our magazine. If any of you had seen the actual article in my magazine you'd have seen the HP and Torque numbers were only mentioned in obvious quotes from the vehicle owner... not our own words or dyno chart. Although i'm sure the car is capable of some big power numbers... but the real person we should be questioning here is not me. Just like what Julian@MRC said... did we mention it was dyno'd? no. Did i say i personally saw it put those numbers down? no.
As for the cover claims of 1,000HP.... we simply took the owner's claim and factored in his NOS kit too. I appologize if you fellas felt it was misleading. But then again, no one knows what the car runs for sure. could very well be a 800HP-1,000 Z as we've all seen the amazing things the guys at Injected and Intense Motorsports have accomplished.

with the turbos the car has, and the fuel, and the injectors the car runs it cannot be a 1000hp Z....not a 900hp Z........maybe with upgraded fuel it might hit 800hp.....
i dont necesarly wanna make this as about what other shops have really accomplished... but in particular about putting is as a cover 1000hp claim, and doing ricer math by factoring the NOS kit. See i understand if you as jsut quoting the owner but you actually made it part of the cover... and that is what we dont like...
Hopefully it gets rectified as a lil note in your next issue
Ok ladies and gentlemen before we get any more ahead of ourselves..
lets lay down some facts here..
MRC did the work.. PASMag reported on it..
the owner is very selfish and has a wide imagination and has drawn very respectable people into his lies..
i like the fact that PAS Mag put everything he said in quotes.. and never did actually print that it was a fact..
we all have to look past this and realize that selfish people like this ruin it for everyone..

After what has happened with VRT in the magazines, no editor should be printing claims (whether quoting the owner, shop, or otherwise) without some proof/evidence to substantiate the claim(s). Anything less is tabloid journalism IMO and the import tuner community, especially the Z/G communitiy deserves better.

Please keep me posted on the 2,000HP n/a build... i think it would be great cover material! LOL
sorry if we mis-lead you guys.... it was not our intention.... by the way, just FYI we do request a verified DYNO sheet with any claims we mention. However, when that is not provided or not possible we go with the quote from the owner... which puts it on them to prove.
thanks for the understanding fellas.

LMAO @ this guys "stats" The mag shouldnt have published even his ridiculous quotes or put the BS numbers on the website but thats just my opinion, especially if they are on the Z forums. Its a discredit/disrespect to the guys that have actually done it. Also makes the mag lose credibility when people read obviously bogus numbers.

^There are so many things wrong about this, it makes me laugh
Edit: I'm pretty sure "GTM Cam Gears" is a made up part. Also, when last I checked the APS turbos' were internally wastegated; he has TiAL w/g's listed.
