Well I was about half way through the install, all piping hooked up except wastegate discharge pipe, I go to put it on and its not even close, I noticed the up-pipe was fitting kind of wierd, but the turbo flange seemed to be in the right place. Turns out it is completely different than the picture in the instructions, the wastegate flange is too far forward and comes off of a pipe, instead of being welded directly to the up-pipe. The discharge pipe is also wrong, it should be somewhat straight, but this is long and curves twice, so the angle to hit the wastegate (even if it was in the right spot) is way off. Turns out the part numbers are wrong, even though the part numbers on the packaging were correct.
I'll be calling TN tomorrow to get this fixed, but I'm going to have to pay for the garage a few more days, and I was supposed to be out so they are not happy, and will probably charge me a penalty, anyone think TN will cover this since its their fault?
What a let down, I would have been almost done tonight. instead I went backwards a few hours.

Pictures would be helpful. You are saying that the uppipe and wastegate discharge pipes are completely different parts then what the kit is supposed to include?
Did you buy this kit new or used?
As far as TN paying for your garage rental fee, lol. They have good customer service, but c'mon guy.

I would like to add that I hear your pain, OP, if you bought this kit new and were sent the wrong parts. But I would think you would have caught the problem before you got to this point. When I got my TN kit the first thing I did was compare the piping sections to the pictures in the install manual to make sure everything looked kosher. Regardless, good luck getting it squared away, I'm sure Ed or Reggie will take care of you.
Dang man, that sucks! I'm actualy having my TN kit installed right now while I'm out of town. This makes me a bit nervous though! I think I'm gonna call the shop today to make sure that everything is going ok. I would think TN would be more than willing to send you the right parts, as long as you bought it new.... Good luck and keep us posted!

I did check through the part #'s. The kit came with the instructions, and a separate piece of paper that was like an item check list. In both, the turbo housing inlet tube Part # is correct and matches my item - 21184. The picture did look different, but I thought maybe the piece had been updated and they forgot to change the pic since the numbers were correct.
The part number on the wastegate discharge tube is correct in the separate item checklist - 21824, but in the instruction manual the correct number is 21200. I didn't catch it because I didn't think I would need to cross reference everything. It is different than the pic, it should be straight not curvy.
I bought this kit new, and why shouldnt they cover my extra costs, I scheduled time to have a garage, and because of their mistake I am without a car (i had only expected to be without it for the weekend and a few days, now I had to spend time going backwards and will take more time just to get back where I was when I found the mistake) and making extra payments. This shouldn't happen when I pay $5,000 for a product.

plus I wasted my heat wrap, that piece should not have a pipe coming off it for the flange, the flange should be welded straight to the main pipe. But it fit on the car where the a/c compressor bolts hook in, so I thought it had just been updated, but the next exhaust piece was never quite in line so the clamp would have had a lot of pressure on it so thats where I first thought something may be off. The wastegate discharge on the other hand, is completely wrong, it should be almost straight.
crap! That looks like the same pipe that came in my kit... I took a peek at the parts before I left town... I hope I'm not in the same boat! I'd be really curious to see what TN covers in this particular situation. Call them up today and let us know!

What??? You're assuming that it's a wrong part after what Ed posted the other day? There's a new wastegate discharge pipe that was included in both your kits. They also have completely redesigned the wastegate location since the kit was created, and it sounds to me like you're possibly looking at an old copy of the instructions. Before you jump to conclusions and start asking for warranty service, you should make sure you're not just going about it wrong.
I'm not sure what instructions you currently have, but you might see if there are updated install instructions that show the new part!
That being said, the kit is a VERY tight fit. You should loosen up everything you've tightened down so far, get it all aligned and together, and then tighten flanges and clamps up from the turbo down.

I'm amazed how quickly people jump to conclusions and make posts rather than attempting to actually solve these issues...

Everything is loose, the instructions are the ones that came with the kit, and the pictures do not match my pieces. The part # on the discharge tube matches an item check list, but does not match the instruction checklist or the picture w/part # checklist. I understand that it is a tight fit, and I will ask to see if there is an updated instruction booklet when I call today. But the wastegate needs to flanges to come into it at 90 degrees, I had the turbo inlet tube mounted, if I hold the wastegate up to it, I just do not see any possible way to bolt the discharge tube to the 1st downpipe and have the opposite end come out in the correct spot. I can't even get the discharge tube into position to bolt it to the downpipe, and that a/c line is killing me hanging right above where the sway bar support would be, that is making it a little more difficult, but still the discharge pipe just seems wrong.
Here's Ed's post about the new revision of the pipe, this was made just last week. I'm surprised no one here has referred you to it:

There is a new pipe, and it obviously goes into the 350z kit. I'm not sure whether the instructions have been updated or not, but it would explain why the pipe you're seeing doesn't match up. That being said, it's most likely an easy fix. You just need to get the right information.
If you have some pics under the car of exactly what you're talking about it might be easier to help you, but right now for all I know you're trying to put something in backwards or at a completely wrong angle, as you don't have instructions.
I know that when I've installed these kits, nothing seems to perfectly line up right and it takes a bit of loosening, adjusting, tightening, and repeating to get it to all go together. It's totally normal, but necessary, to get an install that doesn't leak exhaust or end up tearing up the piping. Try to avoid getting out the pry bar and forcing/bending stuff into place or you'll end up being one of these people posting about broken pipes and blaming it on the kit.
One thing about doing some sort of modification like this is that it never goes as planned. If there's one thing you'll learn by modifying a car like this is that maybe 1 in 20 installs goes without a hitch. Expecting a company to pay for your car payment or whatever is a bit... unreasonable.
I'll hit up Ed or Reggie when I see them online and see if they can speak up.

1st, in no way did I ever expect a car payment, I wouldn't ask for that.
I see that I have that new discharge tube, but being so much bigger don't you think that there would be another piece to go with it so that you can bolt it up? I realize my up-pipe is different, and maybe is this "other" piece, but i will need up-dated instructions, it seems like even if the angle was correct, the a/c line is just no in the right spot, does anyone have a pic of where they have the a/c line (the one that came with the TN kit) running? I have mine going straight down and looping under the tubine inlet tube, then resting where the sway bar mounts, and then back up to where it ties into the compressor. (maybe this is the problem) I'll be calling TN for some help later today.

I am taking pictures of the new pipe compared to the new pipe so you can compare in addition I can email you the wastegate relocation instructions for an additional view of what is eliminated by the new pipe. PM me your email addy so I can get that to you. The 2 pipes that are eliminated are PN's 21200 and 21427 into one pipe 21824 which is what you have.
