Forged and Injected Performances Top Dawg Air Strip Event

I think my car was the only near disaster. The nissan oil filter popped off in the middle of a run, coating the entire passenger side in oil. It was quite spectacular on video, but quite depressing for me to watch on review. I counted probably 12-15 seconds from the point oil started coming out to engine turn off. Not sure how much of that time had at least some oil pressure left. There were no noises at all and with my helmet on I was clueless to the problem - I cut the engine only because I heard Dilsher say "fire". Sharif got a new filter on there, put in 5 quarts of oil, and she started right back up. I think the sandwich adapter didn't have enough thread contact with the stock oil filter. The mobil 1 we put on there seemed to have better engagement and it seems solid so far, but I will change that sandwich adapter out to a Greddy this week.
Everyone helped out to clean up my mess and help me keep my chin up - don't think I said thanks to all of them at the time I was so worried about my motor: thanks guys. Looks like the Motul helped save my motor. Going to a dynojet to see if there is a power loss, but the car feels strong.
I was doing well, but that took me out of the running - had to go powerwash to try to clean up the car and especially the brakes. The car veered to the left as the right side brakes were slipping.
Lots of details, videos to follow guys - lots of people just returning today, which reminds me...
EVERYONE WITH PICS, VIDEOS, please PM me so I can send you FTP access to upload. Also please send me your full name if you took pics so you can be credited for the photography.
Feel free to post videos if you know how, but lets give Nissan Sport the opportunity to review the HQ still shots before posting publically.

We just got back a few minutes ago. I am pooped!!
It's safe to say, that everyone that attened had a blast. I know the weather and schedule changed meant that several people couldnt attend, but those that managed to make it, had a chance to beat on their cars for about 4 hours. It was VQ heaven.
I will get a few teaser pics up shortly....I am sooooo tired...but it was great seeing and meeting many of you again. Can't wait to do this again next year. And the best part......everyone drove home safely without breaking anything.
Thanks Dilsher for putting this thing together!!

I'm so disappointed I missed this but I'm glad that everyone had a great time.
Raj, since you live in CH and I party in CH, we are going to have to hang out if you're the Top Dawg

This was a great event. ther than a few minor mishaps with XKR's car ( couplings don't like 19 psi
and Raj's motor being the ultimate survivor ) everyone had a blast. It definitely set the tone for the rest of the weekend. This should definitely be an annual event. Oh and to XKR, all that **** talking about pickng on the stock block guys. . . well guys he got beat by me! ( all it took was him running on wastegate and 5 spark plugs
). I ran my car down the strip more times than I can remember and we all drove home which is amazing in itself. Great job everyone and I am ready for next year. ( Don't plan o being stock block by then.

And, no I cannot be top dawg since I withdrew - AND I lost to Dilsher just as many times as I won, 3 and 3 as I recall, AND I couldn't race everyone because of the the brakes being soaked in oil. I raced XKR once, but I think a boost coupler on his car had popped off by then and I wasn't back in time to race again. I think he also had an issue with one of his plugs. Running 6 vs 5 cylinders helps, eh mike?

So Dilsher or XKR takes the title. I missed a good hour towards the end trying to get my car ready for the drive to Fontana so I honestly don't know how it ended up so it'll be up to XKR and D350Z10 to set the record straight.
There are so many small variables that affect the outcome, it's hard to call Top Dawg outright!
One thing for certain, it was soooo much fun. What a great group of people and cars...

Tim, I have a great vid of yourself and jamez racing!!! I gotta edit everything then
I will send it to you guys!
It was hard to determine a "top dawg" the races varied from each mph, and it sucked that Mikes car was down.
One thing for sure is that 300zx was FASTTTTTTTT, I would have really like to see Raj and Him race from a low mph.
