^ Ha! Sharif is evil!

 

Sharif had just learned the trick of tapping another guy's beer and watching it spew out. He however forgot to cover his own and got pwned. He just stood frozen watching the volcano of beer in his hand. He made apoor attempt to drink it down. His reply was priceless, wish I had it on tape. " I tried but I just couldn't suck it down."

 

HA! I so wish I could have been there! Next year I'm staying in Fontana!

HI everyone.....I hope you all got back safe. I am home now.

No way I could be considered for Top Dawg !! Yes I have the HP/TQ ...but with the d@mn cupplers popping off at high boost and broken spark plug my car ran like crap . Yes I lost to a stock block..no excuses... I lost.

We are going to weld the bend on the intercooler piping to eliminate the coupler. That will fix that problem. Sharif tried everything to keep it from popping off but the bends in the pipes did not help. Its my bad...I should have stayed with the regular clamps instead of the T-Bolts clamps.

But wouldn't you know it...the car ran great going home....so I took my anger out on a new ZO6 !! Thanks to Chris and Dillon for changing the plugs and tightening things up the next day.

I wish we had set up an in car camera facing Dil and James when I slammed on the brakes a few feet from the end of the runway....Dil and James sound like girls when they screen.


In closing ....I would like to say thanks to Dil, Raj, Sharif and all that set this even up....it was great....my fiance loved it and wants to return next year.

Also Joe ( aka The Mad Scientist ) if you meet him you will know why he is called that......Luie ( the Assistant) ....Sorry you all did not show up...but it was great to meet you. Thanks Luie for taking me for a ride in your car and offering me a chance to drive it....you have one of the best well rounded cars I have seen in a long time and still being "street legal". You have convinced me that I have to get the 850's..... so next event I will have way more for the stock blocks !!! IT aint over !!!!

Raj.....I am glad your car is ok......because of what happened to your car...I told Sharif not to worry about fixing my car....after seeing your car with all that oil....driving on 5 plugs and no boost was not a bad thing after that.

I just got back to Michigan and had to post this vid. It is what I consider the quote or catch phrase that defined the entire airstrip event summed up by none other than Dil. After watching the 300ZX run for the first time it was simply put..... "Get me to my car"

Dil obviously my trip through Ohio and MI went well, give me a ring tomorrow when you get back.

The event was a great time and it was good to meet some hardcore Z and G owners.

He was able to drive his car home, just no boost, They had to take a filter from his turbos and put it n the throttle body to make it driveable. I am glad your car ran great on the way home. You shoulda beat the ZO6 and then challenged him to a braking contest.

 

Ok, well I JUST got back to Orlando. I made it back home fine, but the car needs a good bit of work to get it back to normal but no worries.

At any rate, I'd like to give HUGE props to Dilsher for setting this whole thing up. For a long time it looked like it was going to get canceled, but thanks to him (and Raj) the whole thing came together. All in all it was a blast, and I think everyone had a great time. It was an awesome event, and I'm definitely down for doing it next year.

The video I took should be up shortly, but I don't know when since the camera that it was captured on isn't mine.

Congrats to all and glad everyone is safe and sound. I certainly wish I could've made it. I have a sense many more will show up next time around.
