Default JWT 700 Kit Results

Just got home now, 02:00 Tuesday morning. On 6.5psi we made 487whp & 414wtq (398whp & 338wtq uncorrected). Boost comes quick and at 2500rpms I'm at 300wtq, raises to 400+ by 3500 and maintains it till 6300 (395wtq) and drops to 337 by 7300. Horsepower is nice and flat. At 2500 whp is 138whp and just continues to 487whp to 6750. Overall I'm very happy with the car. Pulls in every gear and is a blast to drive. Can't wait to get some more drive time. I'll post up pics and full mod list tomorrow.

I'm stating that 398 & 338 are the uncorrected numbers. The dyno sheet provided are showing the SAE corrected numbers. Also will Darren be in tomorrow? I need to exchange/replace my DEFI control unit. Seems not to be sending power to my Defi gauges.

OK... I see the big correction was for altitude and a little correction for temp... I was wondering what the huge spread was for. It's pretty warm there now. I thought it would be cold.

Nice!

Jet: Yeah elevation is a killer but even more on the N/A side.

GolfinZ: Yes it is however considering how late it was/is I drove 60 miles hwy w/ the cruise on. LOL I did do a couple pulls but nothing to crazy. 110ish at most.

Yeah, the altitude is a ***** here.

As a comparison, mine was 365 uncorrected. Never bothered to see what the corrected number was. So, Rob has the BB700's, and the Cosworth plenum; everything else is more or less the same. Cosworth probably made the biggest difference, considering we were running approx the same boost levels (6.8 on mine, 6.5 on his) I've got the MD spacer and MREV 2, and mine is a revup, whereas his is not.

23 rwhp for the Cosworth is nice! Plus it's all shiny and carbon fibered!

Dave: Mind e-mailing me your best run file. (When you can.) Like to overlay ours together for a comparo.

merlin04: I honestly don't know since I did not tune my car.

Doba: JWT says these turbos, GT2860RS, are cable of 700whp with built motor and supporting mods. Hench it called the JWT 700BB kit.

Nice results, but I'm going to be realistic here and say that the 487 number is way overcorrected. I'd be surprised if the car made 400whp on 6.5psi at sea level with correction, or uncorrected for that matter.

398whp at 6.5psi is still impressive. 487whp is just ridiculous and a bit misleading for those that don't understand correction factors.

Not a problem. You have an opinion and have the right to express it. This is what it is and I'm not getting into this dyno vs this dyno and SAE vs uncorrected.

Here is my stock baseline vs JWT/Cosworth:

I think Taurran is talking about me..because I am confused. 487whp @6.5 psi is insane considering that I have the same JWT 700bb. Our supporting mod are way different (example F-con) but still thats some crazy numbers.

Congrats on the build!

Spring pressure for 700bb turbo internal wastegates is ~ 9 psi. Mine was 9.3. Altitude must be affecting the spring pressure - can you confirm? Make sure you get tuned for higher psi if you plan on driving to lower altitudes, because pretty sure you'll be in the 9-10 range at sea level.

The answer to your question would help me understand the difference.
