I'm asking a dumb question and not searching, but I assume the haltech is wired in like a piggyback although its working alone in controlling the motor? Or is the valve timing still on the OEM?

wow you run 100% meth, must be very corrosive. I run 50% meth/50%water and the metal lid on the resevor is all corroted.

Running PE510's startup is no issue with the haltech for me.

Intake and revup exhaust valve timing is controllable by the Haltech. The Haltech (in the standard plug and play setup), leaves creature comfort and drive by wire controls (namely throttle) to the stock ECU (which therefore must remain in place).

Yep, thats what I loved when I went fromt eh UTEC to the Haltech. MUCH smoother, no problems at all.

On the other hand, 12 PSI on a stock block!!! But I read that you are prepared for an engine build, so it's allright, I guess.

Anyways, congrats on the Haltech and the great numbers.

Great to hear that, so basically everything but the throttle is controlled by the haltech, but all the can bus features, gauges etc. still work without a bunch of issues.

Only issue that the Haltech has (that I have found) is that it will throw a P0011 and P0021 code after about 100 miles. These are intake valve codes that the ECU is throwing since it is not seeing the intake valve values it is expecting to see.

As I understand it, Haltech is working on this.

But he is using 100% Meth....so he is basically running race fuel equivalent...so he should be fine.

They are still working on doing more over the stock CAN bus. An alternative for the CEL issue is to do an Osiris reflash. Would be nice if the Haltech could intercept any CEL the ECU wants to throw and kill it though.

Well he won't detonate so the METH will definitely help, but those stock rods are probably seeing close to 500 wtq on a dynojet.

Yeah, not really willing to pay $700 for the Osiris reflash to just get rid of a CEL that comes on every 100 miles or so. Hopefully Haltech will solve this. Preferably, it would be configurable within the interface to tell it to ignore certain CEL's.

Ha! Yea, i know i am "playing with fire" with the amount of power i'm running. But as long as it makes it through the summer, i will be fine because i'm building in the fall. If it doesnt, then i guess i will be building early.

Exactly. There are very very few stock blocks that we tune past 10psi, but when customers are ready to build their engines, at THEIR request....we'll kick it up a notch.

It's been fun working with your Tyler...enjoy!

Same here man. BTW- I downloaded the driver and everything is running good.

Now, lets just cross our fingers the rods hold up for the summer

When I had 440's my UTEC starts were just like stock. Now that I have 750's it's way different.

wow..I can only imagine. Usually, the 440's start up pretty cleanly. The 550's and up can be hit or miss. Some start perfectly, others struggle a little bit.
