**HALTECH Review-Stock Block 12 PSI w/ Meth**
There hasn't been a whole lot of Haltech reviews posted lately so i figured i would share my thoughts and give a brief review.
I previously had the UTEC. And I will still say, for the coin, that is a GREAT EMS. But given that I am building the engine in the fall/winter, I wanted to go ahread and upgrade to the Haltech, as i think it is better for the higher boost/built blocks.
Sharif installed/tuned my Haltech and I am 100% impressed.
I know there were some people having issues with the starts. With the Haltech, my starts (cold and warm) are perfect. Pumping the gas isnt needed and the idle is rock steady.
The biggest difference is the smoothness. With the Haltech, driving the car is like driving a factory turbo'ed car. Half throttle lett off's are so smooth. This is where the difference is notice most. Overall, it makes the car soo much more enjoyable to drive, and that in itself makes it worth every penny.
One more thing. The software that is comes with is really straighforward. For now (since there is not an external map selector besides the AIM), a laptop needs to be connected to switch maps. This is no big deal at all though, it takes maybe 1 minute at most. Like i said, this is VERY straighforward. You just need to remember to select "reset ECU" when you switch maps.
Well, there is my .2 on the Haltech. I know it's not much but...
FYI, i also had the Stage 2 Snow Performance meth kit installed. The boost was turned up to 12 lbs. and the car made 461whp on Sharif's dyno.
Thanks again Sharif. It was a pleasure, as always.

Great numbers. I also chose to go with Haltech as I knew I would be building soon.
Question though: why are you choosing to run 12 psi on the stock internals? I'd like to push mine this far but I would feel really nervous running that much boost and not having a built engine just waiting.
I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this or maybe Sharif could chime in.

Thanks guys.
D350z10, I am on the 440cc Greddy injectors as of now. So that could contribute to having an easy start up.
APP6mt, Since i have all the right amount of supporting mods, and a great tuner, i figured i would push the limits of this stock block a little further. However, if i wasnt prepared for a build if something did happen, then i deff wouldnt be pushing 12 lbs.

I read that you need to double your injector size and fuel pump when dealing with Meth. Do you think 440cc injectors are to small for the amount of power your making, along with meth?

I thought if you switch to ethanol fuel, you have to use larger injectors...?
