Are the fans relocated to the front with this setup?

T, with the 36mm mishimoto, the stock fan shroud does contact the charge pipe ever so slightly. However it does not actually push the charge pipe back at all so its not really a problem. I hope that makes sense. You could always use a thinner fan shroud setup. Personally I was impressed with the Mishimoto's fit given the price.

The install was super easy, it mounts just like stock and did not require any trimming to either the core support or fan shroud. I should mention that I have deleted my AC, so not having the condensor in there might have gave me a little additional room to work with.

^ yep, I will be getting multiple maps, and also plan on running a meth setup I will be buying with my economic stimulus money, lol. I would like to see 450rwhp out of it, we shall see.

Some more pics from the process... Keep in mind this is a track car, and the exterior is very dirty and not done so excuse the ugliness, haha:

front bumper quick release latches

Tanabe single exhaust w/ rear bumper mod

shot of the mishimoto rad

somewhat assembled engine shot, you can see the RC injectors and pretty CJM rails

note the pulley delete mod, and gutted AC compressor.

Built engine being reassembled after coming back from SVRT

Nice!! Must be rewarding to do then engine swap all by yourself - and frustrating.

I'll have to follow your setup long-term to see how that rad holds up. Might think about picking one up myself.

that plenum will end up being a pain in your @ss. swap it out now. It won't hold up to 15 psi. on the APS single I worked on, it was leaking at 9 psi...

Old version or the new one?

I think there are a few people running the v+ over 10psi, Jay'z comes to mind for one... Either way if it cracks I will not exactly be crying myself to sleep, I paid something like $100 for it, lol. Thanks for your insights though.

+2 Bro, listen to coach.. I have the same prob.. I hit 15psi the other day and it caused my V+ gasket to leak out.. (third time this has happened) It wont hold.. Youll keep having to replace the gasket at any high psi over 7 IMO.. I am looking to swap it out soon..

The weak link on the V+ is the ******** cork gasket it comes with..

Yeah that is what I figured. Has anyone tried to remove the cork gasket and use a different gasket material for boost purposes? Or maybe RTV.

I may try it for giggles, why not. If it fails, I'll go back to the oem upper plenum.
