I may try it for giggles, why not. If it fails, I'll go back to the oem upper plenum.

What happens is the plastic flexes when you tighten the plenum down. The cork blows out between the bolts. Even with another type of gasket, you still have the warping/flexing of the plastic which causes leaks

My kinetix held multiple 8psi pulls on the dyno the other day... But we ran out of time so we couldn't get the high boost map started. So the most it saw was about 8.5lbs.
No leaks, although I am still probably going to replace it with something else. But I might leave it on for the high boost tune session, and just bring the new plenum, and if it blows then I will replace then.

I have been reading this thread and reading about your build over the past few months. You have done so much and have now been successful as a DIY'er, why put a weak link in there with a plastic manifold. IMO the risk clearly outweighs the reward (though I still haven't figured out what the reward is). If any of that plastic happens to get sucked in your motor if it were to blow your engine would be toast. Just do the powerlab spacer with a stock manifold for $200 and sell your kintex. You would probably break even. Great job on everything though and good luck!

BTW, is anyone else running a TN setup on a low compression engine (Taurran not included, his kit is nowhere near normal) ? My pistons are 8.6:1 Arias', and with the thicker HKS head gaskets I am thinking the CR is even lower. The car is really begging for more boost.
