Default My built block turbonetics setup -

Thought I would share some info and pictures on my now complete build (minus tuning). I started the car for the first time yesterday, using a basemap from Turboxs. Now I need to get some break in miles on her, so I can get the car up to PRE in Portland for tuning. ALL the work done on the car minus the engine machine work and assembly was done by me. I pulled the engine, and reinstalled it along with the turbonetics kit by myself in my garage. Engine build was done by SVRT. Anyway, here are the specs:

Engine:
Arias 8.6:1 pistons .20 over
Eagle rods
Cosworth rod and main bearings
HKS headgaskets
ARP head and main studs

Turbo kit:
Turbonetics single w/ watercooled bearing section
Greddy RS BOV

Misc engine/drivetrain:
SVRT solid motor mounts
South Bend stage 5 FE clutch
Kinetix V+ plenum
AAM oil pan spacer
AAM throttle body spacer
Tanabe super medallion single exhaust
Mishimoto 36mm radiator
Oil cooler
UTEC
RC 650cc injectors
Walbro 255
CJM stage 1 rfs

Pics:

as you can see the car is not done at all on the outside, still needs paint. But this will give you an idea:

I have hundreds of pics I took throughout the whole process, but I wont bore you guys with those.

According to their website, they have a lifetime warranty up to 15psi.

nice, we have almost the same setup (turbo, oil cooler and engine color scheme) minus the built motor.

Where did you get the red couplers for the TN kit?

The thicker radiator (53mm koyo) will not fit. Even the 36mm is TIGHT.

I am running Evans NPG+ coolant as well.

Where did you get the radiator? Why did you choose that one, I've never heard of it.

DMK, the mishimoto is a copy of the Koyo V core. Virtually identical, the welds are not as pretty. I paid $200 shipped for it, as opposed to what ever the Koyo's cost, I think $300+. I am not a brand name *****, I just like parts that work, so thats why I picked the mishimoto. There is a thread on this radiator in the general engine section, with a couple peoples reviews including mine.

Stan, yep stock fans. With the 36mm radiator the stock fan shroud is touching the charge pipe, so any thicker rad would not fit. Maybe with a thinner fan shroud.

not to get off topic, but how hard was the install and any problems with anything touching (like the charge pipe)?

Thanks

Yeah, I said the hell with the 36 mm. Ordered the AMS 52mm and FAL fans. This setup is thinner than stock
