Default TN High Water Temps ? ? ?

Well there have been a few threads with regards to high water temps and the result of them.

So I thought I would pose the question that has me concerned.

I switch my old set of gauges to Defi and mounted my water temp sensor to the upper rad pipe with a water temp sensor adapter.

Since installing the gauges, I've noticed what I thought of has high water temps. I used to be in the 170-185 range and now with the new gauge and sensor placement I'm seeing 190-210+.

At about 210 the fans kick on and the temp drops back down to 190 before rising again.

Are these temps high? I'm wondering if adding a koyo would be best, since I'm also planning on adding the TN water lines. Which I figure would add more heat to the water temps since it's flowing through the turbo.

Any feed back from the TN guys on what your temps are for normal vs. aggressive driving and even in traffic?

Is the koyo or another type of radiator a good idea at this point?

Also thought I would add, I have all the hot side piping heat wrapped, and also have a turbo blanket. Plus any concern that well flushing my coolant a month ago that there still might be some air in there? I been checking every weekend since then but haven't noticed any air pockets.

Thanks for the help (in advance)

T

Regardless what turbo kit your running those temp are Ok!
I run around 175 to 188 on the street, and 169 to 174 on the highway, Back when I tracked my car I saw temps in the 230 to 250.
Save your money for other things like when you break something. If your just cruising your car and doing a once and a while highway run, IMO what you have is ok.
I have the big Koyo and 13"fans.

Mine ranges from 185-205..., plus its a little warmer out where you live. I think you're fine. You can't really get anything thats better than a thick koyo. PE's are good too. I have a thin one and it works ok. Try adding some water wetter.

I can only fit the thin koyo with the TN intercooler piping. Think the water wetter would have a better effect then the koyo??

If you can have both I'd go for it...but its better IMO to try the cheaper solutions first....

I don't have the TN kit, but I just had the Koyo R-core(the bigger one) installed today on my built motor. You never returned my PM so I'm not going to help you....

I'm not sure on the mm size but the R-core is the bigger one. The other one that Koyo has is the one that is the same size as the OEM. My temps were around 210 with the stock one on my drive to PF (3hour drive) with just straight distilled water. I'll let you know what the temps are for the Koyo on my drive back(same conditions as the drive up) and I also added WaterWetter
