Hello..

I dont understand the oil sticky here..so my question is..

Im superchagerd and going to change the oil this week..

Stock Block ,stock internals

Previous owner told me that he always used 10w-30 Mobil1
after reading a couple of thread some ppl recommend the 0w-40 euro car formula..

So Which Oil should i pick up??

My temp is sometimes @ night 24 C (74 F) and in the day 30-35 C (86 + F)

I drive sometimes my car pretty hard..and i saw on a thread that the 10w 30 can get to thin when you drive hard..

So What should i stick to??

I live in So Fla too, and I use M1 0W40 on my Vortech Z.

Did you do an Oil analysis? Quadcam used to use Motul 300V and so far so good until he did his own test.. now he's using Rotella T-Syn 5W40 and it has much better result than the all might Motul.

I'm using M1 0w-40 and did good for 2500 mile.



I just sent another sample to Blackstone for my second test and now I extended it to 3100 miles and I'll post the result once I get it. The only way to really find out if a particular Oil is working for you is to do a test.

Nope, have never done an oil analysis. I have about 100 miles on this oil right now. Maybe I'll send a sample in, but from what I've heard this is a pretty good oil to run.

As AthenG previously said, I am running Rotella T-Synthetic 5W40 with great results. Even Blackstone Labs commented on the great wear numbers for a FI stock block motor with 40,000 miles.

Rotella is magic oil. I use it in my motorcylce and it never burns a drop or gets really nasty.

I might as well start using it in my car now.

Rotella is great oil...I use the non synthetic in my diesel dually...287K miles and running like a champ...stock bottom end and heads have never been off it...run a max of 35lbs of boost..this is a 400+hp 7.3L diesel running aftermarket injectors, turbo, propane kit etc etc etc..

when I first bought my built motor TT Z I read the oil threads and I gathered that M1 0w40 was the BEST even over motul for the vq motor.This was compiled using blackstone oil analysis.. I have been using it ever since in the Z..works great for me.

M1 0w40 on built block and TT. good oil and race proven. you can spring for higher dollar oils but in my neck of the woods they're too hard to find and I think the majority of the forum is happy with it.

I just switched to the 5-40w Rotella Synthetic and it feels very smooth.
