Default Turbo Z????

This guy says his Z is boosted, but this thing sounds way 2 high pitched, plus lacks any FI sounds, I.E. spooling of the turbo, or a wastegate or B.O.V. let off, what r your guys thoughts on this? Some of u guys mite not care, but it just sounds 2 me like this guy is trying to sound cooler than he actually is!

No way he cant even pull an NSX! Any FI Z trapping less than 110mph is total weaksauce.

no way would an NSX pull like on a boosted Z IMO a stock NSX would have a hard time pulling on a modded NA Z..

i agree, this vid shows a Z w/ I/H/E and a shot of N.O.S. completely walk a stock NSX

The cars are pretty compatible as far as weight to power.. with the NSX weighing a few hundred less. Nice car but way underpowered..

I thought the Z stock for Stock would walk an NSX? No low end torque to get the NSX off the line quick. Guess I was wrong huh?!

I just read HP specs on the NSX 270HP from 91-2005. Now maybe I got the wrong numbers, but I dont think a 270HP machine can "walk" a 286HP machine with similar drivers. Just my .02.

The difference in weight is the deciding factor. that along with the right driving/timing and you'll be able to get a good distance and keep it. Now mod the Z to compensate for the weight and the Z should have no problem pulling..

i'm not sure why you guys are discrediting the video.. if its a boosted Z with a 3" exhaust and a APS BOV or another quiet BOV.. you won't hear it over that exhaust.. also not all NSX's are slow.. some of them run low 12's on spray.. and there are a number of Twin Turbo and SC NSX's out there

97' and up were 3.2L making 290hp. Not much but the gearing is PERFECT in those cars. Fastest NSX has been a 99' Zanardi edition that trapped 108+mph and ran high 12's.

There are other cars besides 350Z's that are modified & are running with a blower, Turbo, or Spray.

It kind of cracks me up when someone says something like "yeah a 350Z is as fast as _____ if you throw a turbo & boost it so it puts out 500hp". Guess what, the car you are comparing it to can be boosted as well so what is the point? I could build a sentra that would blow the doors off a stock 350Z.....

Very true, but the only reason i posted this up here was because the owner of the Z says its boosted but you can't hear anything because he has a boost issue, i was only posting it up here 2 discuss whether or not you guys believe it 2 b boosted or not! that was it.

Glad someone cleared that up because I was just getting ready to do the same lol. NSX's just don't seem to make a ton of power. The most I have seen is like 400whp even with their stock titanium connecting rods. Everyone knows that a turbo Z is going to make at least 400whp even more if it is built. If I had to guess I would say that was a 350Z with a couple of bolt ons against a 290hp NSX.
