Eventually, I'd get bored with the car and start looking to upgrade stuff. First it'd be small stuff, but afteer a while, it'd be be much bigger stuff.
At that point, you could say "Well, James, you could have just bought a (Insert super car of your choice) with that money...and so on." And you'd be exactly right. But they make aftermarket parts for Ferrari's too (Tubi exhausts go for like $6000 IIRC).
So at the end of the day, its a never-ending debate. I personally love my car, and I want to see it through to the end in regards to modifying it. Sharif said it well, the car thing should be a hobby. I don't care if I don't see one red cent back from my little build, because the enjoyment I've gotten from the car, directly and indirectly, has been well worth the price of admission.
Remember guys, the grass always seems greener on the Porsche/GT-R/Z06 side, but they have they're problems just like us. And eventually, there will be a new version of each of those too, and you'll be kicking yourself in the *** wondering why you didn't just wait for it. Its easy to pick the car apart for its failings, but when I'm having a great time "off-roading" my car in the mountains (*waits for jokes*) or I'm not even thinking about that.

do it or don't do it. simple. i still feel carpe diem. if i decide i want something i do it and i've never really looked back in the long run. sure there are moments when i realize i've spent WAYYYY too much money on stuff in life but hey i enjoyed it all. there is a damn good reason why people who blow their engine build another

My answer to "is it worth it?" Im on the fence, think about what that means! That means that in the 1 yr 4 months my 1st built set-up lasted me, and ALL of the good times/runs in my car I had (and it was a lot), they still only equal the pain in the a$$ problems, quirks here and there, issues here and there, and not to mention the $$$ lost that Iver had with my car before and even now. In the end, nobody says its not fun, but worth it? Hard to answer...
i'll take 2 in my next lifetime..
