Default weird idle question

well, when I start my car after driving it for a while, and the motor is warm, sometimes my idle drops to like 600-700rpm, and my af gauge starts to read anywhere from 15.9-18.9. As soon as I give it gas, and start to drive it goes back to normal. Was wondering what could be causing this (im sure it can be many things). Current setup can be found at https://my350z.com/forum/north-west/361284-hin-august-seattle-link-inside-6.html. Only thing I could be thinking is I may have screwed up the pcv valve since I still have my home made catch can installed in the same place as i did when I was NA. Could be wrong though as I don't know too much about AF ratios, and things like that.

What plenum do you have? It sounds like you need an ECU re-flash.

running the aps plenum, and mrev2. Don't think my ecu got reflashed when tuned (i know nothing about tuning). I think they only worked on the utec, and not the normal computer.

i would definitely raise up your idle. using either a consult2 or cipher. then mess with it. these cars like to idle a little higher...

I idle at about 650rpm without issue, A/F is between 14.7 and 15.4 at idle. Also using a utec. Also have homemade catch can.

ok, made an appointment with nissan to get the idle changed to a little bit higher. Thanks for the info. Hopefully this helps a little bit.
spoilsofwar: do I need to move the tubing for the catch can when boosted?

I am still running the catch can inline from the passenger side valve cover to the plenum. There are a lot of FI people doing it this way. Some say its bad for the PCV valve. I dunno. If it worries you, move it, or install a one way check valve between the catch can and the plenum.

After Sharif installed the Cosworth plenum...the idle was drop below 600 rpm...it was stall sometimes. I had to get a reflash with 900-1000rpm's.

Idles real nice now.
