PCV has Hole In It
Doesn't the brake booster line contain a check valve in the OEM configuration? Why does Greddy add another?
And I had read that APS now uses an electronic solenoid of some kind rather than a mechanical check valve... not sure why they felt that was necessary as most simple check valves are rated to 150 psi.

You just jumped the guard rail and plowed into the ditch. The solenoid/check valve you are referring to in the post above is related to their single turbo and the oil feed to the turbo.
The check valve you were referring to orginally is used to keep boost from leaking into the crank case

****Long story short, the oem PCV valves generally leak when you exceed 9 psi of pressure... at least this is what I was told. You can get the APS check valve from an authroized dealer, like MRC or Z1. I got mine through GRD over a year ago. This isn't a new topic and has been discussed before

rcdash so what you are saying is from your catch can on the pass side run a T then a cheack valve on both ends of the T take one to your intake pre turbo or supercharger(procharger) and the other to your plenum?

Interesting that they require use a solenoid for oil supply...
They have to use some sort of solenoid because of how low the turbo sits. If they did not, the oil would continue to gravity feed to the turbo even when the motor is not running

Any reason you couldn't just use one of the OEM Nissan brake booster check valves off a Z32? That one is a clamp is design similar to the APS, as opposed to the one that is internal to the hose on our cars. Don't know how much the APS piece runs, but the nissan valve is ~$20 from courtesy parts. I'm willing to bet thats cheaper then the APS, and would probably get to you faster.

I also highly recommend just a breather on the driver's side vent. That is your safety net in case there is build up in the crankcase for whatever reason (like you use low grade hose and it collapses - use SAE30R9 fuel injection hose if you can get it, though I used SAE30R7 and it seems sturdy enough and it's 1/4 the cost per ft.).

Jetpilot, rcdash and everyone else, great discussion!! Jetpilot, I can't wait to see your complete setup! Keep us posted whether your setup completely eliminates crankcase pressure and blow by gas...
