Default Larger Fuel Injectors

Hey guys I have a question I have a 03 with a vortech and I have a basic AAM fuel return and walbro. I bought DeatschWerks 600cc injectors and was wondering when I install them will the car run. I have the SS box now but will be installing a Utec in a couple weeks. what needs to be done so that the car runs normal for the time being? Do I need to go to nissan and have them scale them???

You can just install them, the car will run pig rich and may idle a bit rough, but it will run. Then when you get the UTEC in scale them with the 0 load column.

What spoils said. You'll run rich, but she'll run. Just keep her out of boost!

if things are working now, why not wait until doing the Utec install and do the injectors then?

It will barely run way to rich to drive. When. I installed my 600cc deatchworks it ran like Sh*t, you'll see if you try to start it, non drivable. PM me after you get your utec I still have my 600cc procharger fuel map it will limp you to get a tune. I wouldn't use my timing map because I run water/meth. Also every car is different.

just put -11 in the o% load column. no magic there. you'd never have timing values different than ecu in the 0% load column.

So guys I have to go 27 miles on the expressway, do you think that i should leave my ss box hooked up and install my fuel return with my OEM injectors, and wait till I get to the shop and have them change my injectors and do the tune?? I dont know what to do I have to change my pulley too to the 2.87, and by the way is what I have enough to run a 2.87 as safely as possible 600cc, aam return and rails, walbro, kinetix, full exhaust testpipes, utec

Just install everything and put it on a trailer thats what I had to do. And I'm only 5 miles from my shop.

I would not consider 600cc to be overkill by any means. Remember, you need more injector for a supercharger setup then you do for a comperable turbo setup.

you have larger injectors ,walbro pump, fuel return and utec sounds good just get some 1 step cold plugs. I prefer cooper but that is my opinion. Install it all and have it trailered.Trust me have it trailered there's no reason to spend alot of $ and time and then fuc* it up trying to drive to the shop. You will be glad you did. Besides When I'm hauling my Z behind my H2 it seems like everyone thinks it's a race car and your heading to the track. I get more questions about it on a trailer.Rather then driving the Z around town

Just wondering how long does a tune usually take to do hour wise?? I was looking at the shop rates for install and its not that bad for the AAM return, But I was wondering if it can all be done in one bus day

Larger injectors, return fuel system install, and a tune can be done in one full business day.

600cc is not overkill at all if you have a 2.87 pulley

Superchargers need more fuel than turbos. I ran 600cc deatchwerks and when I logged with utec I was at the 70% column At red line. With my current set up with a single turbo making it only in the 50% column at 7 psi.So Superchargers = more Fuel... I maxed out my stock inj at 5200 rpms with the procharger. And the shop is going to bust your head on $ when it comes to the install. It is easier than it sounds just do it yourself and take your time. I can change Injectors in about 1 hour just make sure you bleed off the fuel pressure by pulling the fuel pump fuse or you will get a face full of fuel.
