Wow that sux, I've had my vortech on for approx 20,000 miles and have not had 1 problem with it yet(knock on wood)

-Wat was the original reason oil got all over? Were new seals replaced, if so take off all the piping and clean it and try it again

the whole unit was replaced b/c seals blew and it was bad oil everywhere it was nissans fault they kinked an oil line. so I got a new one there is no kinks now and or leaks on the fittings. so I took off part of the intercooler piping and found oil residue and it was on the maf I cleaned the maf and it works but there is still oil in the cooler.

Now my next questions are:
when the seals blow does the oil get in the piping??

Also when BPV blows does some of the air escape through the charger filter I noticed something coming out of the filter very faintly in the light

If the answers to the above questions are both yes I dont think that the charger isnt bad the intercooler just needs to be cleaned and what I am seeing is residue from the piping coming out in the air and slowly accumulating

I had the same problem...I went through 2 blowers before I scraped the Vortech and went turbo. First unit had bad seals....second unti had bad bearings and seals. Oil collects in the IC tube then blows everywhere out the BOV. Ultimately cost me big $$$$ in extra parts and repair time to fix the additional damage the oil leak caused. Did you get your blower re-sealed after the kink issue? If not, the kink may have caused a pressure back up and blown out a seal....Vortech hung me out on this initially and I didn't get my money back until I went postal on the phone. Dump it and go turbo...way faster and less hassel IMO.

I got a new charger when it went bad I guess they said it couldnt be repaired, I think I got the problem fixed, I took apart my intercooler and there was oil everywhere in the pipes cleaned it all up good and nissan took off my plenum they didnt tighten it back down so that blew open, but I think I finally got everything straight

Turbos can have the same problems if oil gets backed up for any reason (kinks, PCV valve, crankcase pressure, etc). Glad it's settled...

sounds like you need to stop going to nissan

if air is coming out the filter you may need to adjust the by-pass valve
